Sharia Law or Alabama?

Go for it! There is nothing I'd like to see more than republicans try and pass laws that practically all women and 70% of the rest of the population are against.

Not just the democratic base but all those independents who find the law disgusting.

Have you not heard about the legislation that has just taken place in the state of Alabama? :palm: They not only tried...….they did it. Its a states right issue. If 70% of any state wants to deal in death to children under the guise of privacy....go for it. But don't expect to cross any state lines where it has been made a crime once Roe. v. Wade has been turned back over to the states via the same method it came into existence (a court opinion).

Then you must ask? What is the federal government going to do about this CONSTITUTIONAL crisis where some states make abortion legal and some states declare it a crime? There will have to be new laws based upon SCOTUS declarations at the federal level(where they have just ruled based upon the SCIENCE of DNA that life actually begins at conception)....making the law the same in all states. What will that act of legislation declare? Depends upon who holds the power of the Senate and the Executive branch at that time. ;) Ain't a Representative Constitutional Republic a grand thing...were ALL STATES are guaranteed to be equally represented regardless of population size? :bigthink:

Don't you get it? Only in a pure democracy does the angry mob get to rule and run rough shod over everyone else......in a Constitutional Republic, that mob is controlled via the RULE OF LAW calibrated by a CONSTITUTION...not popular opinion. Our founders were indeed Genius Loci. Their spirit lives on after centuries of some mob attempting to "FUNDAMENATALLY CHANGE THE UNITED STATES OF AMERCIA". Now just where did I hear that propaganda before?

How dopey. So if the Alabama legislature enacts a law allowing slavery you'd support it?

The Alabama law is in direct contradiction to the constitution and will be shot down by numerous courts long before it takes effect in Alabama. It will however cause many across the country who find this push to outlaw abortion disgusting and cause them to vote for anyone who feels likewise, like democrats.

Already been done by DEMOCRATS (you know the party of slavery, Jim Crow, the KKK, anti women rights, no minority civil rights etc.,)...….I believe there is a thing called a Constitutional Amendment that forbids flesh peddling (everywhere except Hollywood). Correct me if I am wrong...but the Constitution, you know that pesky little thing that constantly gets in the way of the ANGRY LEFT WING MOB mentality.....would make any opinion by ME....."MOOT"...no? Pure genius that hypothetical non exist piece of bullshit. ;)

.

Piers Morgan interviewed a woman from Alabama this morning. He completely tied her up in knots over the illogicality of the law in that state.

ITV GMB: ‘Don’t find it funny’ Piers Morgan SCOLDS guest in gun law and abortion debate

GOOD MORNING BRITAIN presenter Piers Morgan found himself reprimanding a guest on today’s show as discussion turned to gun laws in America when he interviewed a pro-life supporter about the current abortion laws in Alabama.

Except noone is killing babies.

Since about 70% of the country is pro-choice I like to see the repubs do stupid shit like this. This is the sort of thing that will disgust even repubs enough to vote for the democrat.

You don’t really believe that

How is not killing babies "disgusting?"

Stoning is rare but it is the punishment for both men and women in some Muslim countries. When is the last time a man was stoned? Their laws are applied against women just like Georgia's are. Trump should get stoned.

Stoning isn’t mentioned in Georgia’s law.

You appear to be stoned.
