Duh!
The .308 and .30-06 shoot the same dia. bullet (.308). Only difference is case length and the '06 can hold a bit more powder.
As for functionality, the M1-A and the AR-15 are very similar, the AR-10 comes in the .308 caliber.
The AR-15 in .223 is much cheaper to shoot than the .308 or the .30-06.

M-1 Garand is 30.06 and M-14 is .308, 30.06 is more powerful round, up to a 200 grain rounds. An AR-15 will not stop any big game animal that is after you, brown bear, polar bear, hippo's, ect. a M1-A is similar to a M-1 and M-14 rifle not an AR-15! AR-15's are overrated too!

I meant the basic function, not design. I have 2 M-1 Garands and an M1-A. I like them both, but kinda lean toward the Garand.

Military-inspired assault rifles are second-rate choices for home and personal defense, and really only serve the needs of insecure dudes who are compensating for something.

Sounds to me like you're so insecure about your ability to protect your family, you have to butt in on how someone does something in the PRIVACY of their own home. I thought you lefties believed what people did in the privacy of their own homes was their business. Guess that only applies when you faggots want to butt fuck some other guy or get high.

That is not a gun control measure but a public safety measure. There was nothing in the law preventing the purchase or owing of firearms nor open carry of unloaded weapons.

What you say here is accurate with the exception of “An AR-15 will not stop any big game animal that is after you...” The fact is the 223 round will stop about anything if the shot is well placed. I mean, it’s not my choice of caliber to hunt bear with (if I hunted bear) but it will dispatch a bear just fine. I have used the 223 for whitetail with great success, taking a couple out past the 300 yd range.

I don’t have an AR-15 but would gladly take on if a bear or other large critter was endangering me or mine.
