So the statues are down. The maple syrup and long grain rice is race free

The 2nd paragraph is a stretch. We're going through a transformative moment right now, both good & bad.

But ultimately, it will lead to change. For a quick recap: what happened is that those protesting tried to raise their voice & create a national dialogue multiple times over the years, including kneeling during the anthem. But people who didn't want to listen or engage in that dialogue ignored that, and made it something else.

Once you ignore concerns for that long, things tend to boil over. It sucks that it has to be that way, but that's really who we are as a species, and it's not going to change. It will be that way w/ the climate, also.

But people will look back on 2020 the same way we look at the '60's. A time of tumult, but that ultimately led to an advancement for society.

I don't really care what you say about that. Like the '60's, some moved forward w/ the rest of the society, and some decided to just hang around in the '50's.

The ‘dialogue’ is one sided.

Always.

Well, the whole white supremacy thing is sheer conjecture.

The problem is—it’s ridiculously easy to be one lol. Anyone who isn’t ‘woke’ is a step away from being a white supremacist. Democrats are chasing an illusion if they think *actual* white supremacists make up anything more than a tiny fraction of Trump supporters.

Like with ‘racism’ liberals have trivialized it by applying to so many people so easily.

I don't disagree w/ that last part. I think it really waters down what a racist is to use that term as carelessly as some do. I also think we give the "n word" a ton of power by using the "n word."

I think what we're seeing now is a tipping of the scales in the other direction. It's not "just right" - I'd agree it's over the top. But so was inequality for decades. Eventually, the scales will balance out.

In the progression of human history, we'll get to a point where skin color will be like hair color or eye color. It won't be anything. It may take a thousand years, but it will happen. I always prefer to get to where we're going more quickly, but it tends to be more of a 2 steps forward, 1 step back thing.

By erasing all the evidence of slavery and racism in books, movies, music, products, etc. they'll have a difficult
time in the future for upcoming generations that there is any proof it ever happened. Not a good move. Nothing
can ever be blamed on "systemic racism" again because all proof will be gone. Libs didn't think this through to the
logical conclusion obviously.

WV is safer than a lot of places these days, Frank lol.

Speaking of WV, this place should be crawling with white supremacists [if you want to go by the stereotype] but guess what? It’s was a solidly Democrat state until recently. Still is, in many counties. WV was solid Democrat for way long after the supposed white supremacist flight from the Democrat party.

Who have all these WV white supremacists been voting for all those years—if not Democrats?

Democrats lost WV because Democrats loathe coal and they loathe the working class. Race or racial issues had nothing to do with it. If Democrats want to convince themselves that white supremacists are pulling Trump’s strings or that Trump couldn’t win without them...

Go for it. Just be prepared to lose, again.

We shall see.

What an interesting fucking theory. So it is everyone’s fault for not bending to the kneeling crowd?

Again nothing substantive is going to change for blacks. Oh you might silence people like Drew Brees but did you honestly convert him or bully him into submission? Now to fascists like you it probably doesn’t matter much.

You keep lumping me in. I actually posted here about the backlash against Brees - I thought it was ridiculous. It's not encouraging dialogue to shut someone down just because they have a different opinion.

All I was saying about the kneeling was that they were trying to start a conversation, an no one really listened. It's not "bending to the kneeling" crowd. It's not a zero sum game.

But, like I said, I don't really care what you say about it.

Not seeing the statues of cracker generals polluting the landscape is in and of itself an example of life being better.
How is that not obvious?

There is not a KKK member or White supremacist who would vote for Biden over Trump...and it is almost certain that every one of them WILL vote for Trump.

The fact that Newsweek actually has to talk about Trump "losing" support from White Nationalists (as headline news)...tells it all.

Newsweek and most sane, intelligent people realize that the white nationalist, white supremacists, KKK and all that lot...are firmly in the Republican camp.

The Republicans have their backs!

If the goal is to start a conversation then why do it with something so controversial? Makes no sense if you are really trying to start a conversation

For example if in an effort to start a conversation about abortion I burned down abortion clinics? Would you be wrong to not talk about it?

Did you just compare kneeling to burning down an abortion clinic?

As I've said - kneeling doesn't look so bad today. People on the right chose to display "outrage" over that. It was a very quiet, passive protest.

Well, they’ve moved on to Thomas Jefferson and Francis Scott Key lol.

These loons are out of control and no one has the balls to stop them, how is that not obvious?

Were you under the impression that I think there are no assholes on the American left???

Were you?

So their kneeling doesn’t cost me anything. People turning off the game costs them

It is my mission to work to bankrupt the NFL.
