How do you know that?
I don't know that, one way or the other. It's not my experience. But I also don't think millions of people are making it up.
When stop & frisk was still a thing, I can't help but think about the dude I saw on TV - just a law-abiding, working guy. He said he was stopped & frisked over 100 times; he broke down sobbing talking about it.
I don't think most people can really imagine what that must be like. Just going out to buy some milk, and getting harassed. Seeing police more as an occupying force than a group that's there to protect & serve your community.
And yeah, I know - stop & frisk was under a Dem. But this is a non-partisan thing. Again - I'm inclined to give the benefit of doubt to communities who deal w/ this.
What is your experience that you conclude it doesn't exist?
