Texas Roadhouse CEO Gone

Covid changed a bit of the availability of the peanuts. They do bring some to your table, but it is paper bags... The big barrels of peanuts are gone.

Bet they'll bring 'em back when the pandemic is no longer a thing. It's a pill, having to ask for salt and pepper and condiments that used to be kept on the tables. Some places just give you those annoying little paper packets of salt/pepper, and catsup in a little plastic cup.

^ First World Problems. lol

If I was going to go to a steakhouse chain, Outback would be my first pick.

But Texas Roadhouses are pretty decent if you're looking for a place right off the highway on a road trip.

Sucks that this happened. If Trump and his GOP friends hadn't lied about COVID from Jan-Mar 2020, this guy would probably still be alive.

There's no way to know, but that's possible. I hope his sad demise serves to make some of the more cavalier-about-COVID types take precautions, and get their vaccine when available.

I firmly believe that had Trump and his "very fine people" taken COVID as seriously as Obama took Ebola, we probably wouldn't have had more than a couple hundred deaths and we certainly wouldn't have needed to close parts of the economy.

But they just couldn't control themselves.

We likely would have had more than just a couple hundred deaths, but you are right -- if the pandemic had been competently handled at the national level, and not left to a patchwork quilt of states doing opposing things, we would have fared far better. As it is, we look like a third world country rather than the former leader of the world in medicine, science, and health.

Those numbers are impossible to prove because there are so many variables, as we're seeing in Miami right now.

That said, good leadership on both the national and state levels, saves lives, saves money and better protects the nation compared to the reverse. There's no doubt in my mind that Trump was a shitty leader and failed our nation when we needed him most.
