Thanksgiving

Still avoiding the real question I see. As you were wrong......again. Pathetic.

You need some exposure to things you hide from son. And yes, you are, demonstrably. Euro perceptual reality always trashes whatever ground/land it murderously colonizes.

Still babbling I see Fentoine. Not to sure how it got you through life so far. You must be on some sort of public assistance. Obviously.

Mine too. It was a chance to catch up with extended family I don’t get to see often enough.

It is good for the soul to spend time catching up with extended family and friends.

As far as holidays go, Thanksgiving remains pure and untainted. IMO

I could literally just east a plate chock full of stuffing, mashed potatoes, and cranberry jelly.

My second favorite holiday is Easter - which in the Eastern Orthodox tradition is more of a big deal than Christmas.

I always liked the midnight mass on Christmas, and giving presents to little kids is fun....but I tend to feel like rejecting the rampant consumerism and flagrant excessive capitalism that has abducted that holiday.

Thats not an Eastern Orthodox thing. In most Catholic countries Easter is the biggest Holiday of the year. Christmas is usually the biggest holiday in Protestant countries.

Thanksgiving for us has always been a time for Family to get together and remember those in the family who can no longer sit at the table.

Christmas is always for the Kids.

We spend Thanksgiving with the GF's family, Christmas with my family.
Sadly, the tables have become smaller over the years at both.
