Simple solutions.

Jail or revoke charters or confiscate bussinesses which outsource & hire illegals.

Pretty basic.

But, Repubs talk out of their @$$3$.

They are a Capitalist first party which value cheap labor.

They would be if the virus struck under a Democratic president. It is not just a U. S. problem--people are staying indoors across the world. They obviously did not do a better job than we did.

Democrats are complaining Trump didn't do it sooner--does that mean staying indoors sooner? I know little about virus or health prevention, so I am not defending or attacking Trump, but is seems to exist most places (although lack of knowledge of these issues is not stopping many JPP posters from commenting).

It was a straight line partisan impeachment that was passed in spite of the fact everyone who voted on it knew it would die in the senate. Pelosi is on record saying impeachment should be bipartisan and ended leading the first strictly partisan impeachment in history. Instead of holding House intelligence briefings on the emerging threat from the China Virus.

Constitution prevents confiscation. We have laws against hiring illegals that are not really enforced (partly due to problems with e-verify and because Americans like cheap products. Our slaughter houses couldn't even operate without illegals--nobody wants the jobs. We could pay a lot more and then Americans would yell the meat producers were ripping them off.

Would they? Because there were four major outbreaks during Obama and never once did we have to shut down the economy or do social distancing. Never once did 10M people lose their jobs and health care in two weeks. Never once did 12,000 die in 12 days.

You assume they would have reacted just as poorly as Conservatives did, and you think that because BoTh SiDeS aRe ThE sAmE...except that they're not, and we already know how a Democratic Administration would handle it because we just lived through it.

Jesus, Flash, COME ON.

It's not just that he should have acted sooner (he was told about this threat in NOVEMBER), it's that he acted poorly and reactively.

He was told about this in NOVEMBER and didn't take it seriously until nearly 4 months later, when the market collapsed.

All of this could have been prevented had people made better choices and decisions since 2016 through today.

We were warned this would happen. In fact, we were warned just 2 months ago by Adam Schiff.

At this point I care more about the people & country than the Constitution.

Corporate charters were stricter in the past.

Many Corporations often had their charter revoked.

Work abled welfare recipients can be funneled into fields held by illegals including slaughter houses.

Yes, I certainly agree he didn't take it seriously soon enough. He made it political by calling it a hoax and his supporters jumped on that bandwagon and are pushing a conspiracy theory is it still a hoax and all these people are not dying (pandemic actors).

I figured you would be happy the market collapsed. Look at all the money those rich people lost (if they were stupid enough to sell).

Not a bad idea. But the liberals are yelling and screaming now because they are trying to make able-bodied adults with no dependents work to get food stamps and Medicaid.

The people who lose money are those who lost their jobs and health care, and now have to spend money they don't have on health insurance they cannot afford.

What does it matter to you if someone gets food stamps and/or Medicaid and aren't working?

Are you projecting your own laziness on other people?

You don't know anything about those people and why they aren't working. You don't know that because you don't take the time and put in the effort to find out.

It's easier for you to simply dismiss them as lazy or undeserving because understanding their circumstances would require empathy, which we know isn't something you have.

10M people just found themselves in that boat in the last 14 days, by the way. Are they lazy too because they don't have jobs but qualify for assistance?

IMO.

It depends.

People with disabilities shouldn't have to work.

But, many work abled people not just can make a difference by working when needed.

But, can also add structure, flow & limit boredom by being productive.
