The Deplorable Blue Collars, truckers, farmers, smelly Walmarters & bitter clingers

That's the problem--everybody is ripping off the system. The FBI says in Miami some drug dealers switched to Medicare fraud because it is easier. Doctors engage in schemes to rip off Medicare (cases frequently appear in local newspapers) chiropractors, dentists.

So it sounds to me like Medicare needs a much more robust agency to go after the fraud. But you can't do that unless you increase funding. Which you oppose.

So the net-net of this shit you write is that you oppose any increases to Medicare's budget, while simultaneously crying about the fraud Medicare's fraud prevention commission couldn't stop because they're understaffed and underfunded.

Self-fulfilling prophecy. You spend all your time attacking government programs, undermining them, cutting their funding, then point to things like fraud and scream like a fucking crybaby.

Flash, the only reason that fraud happened was because Medicare didn't have a robust enforcement division to prevent it. And the only reason it didn't have that, was because of spending cuts.

Nobody suggested throwing the baby out with the bathwater. There are many reforms to the system which could help which I explained previously. The free market isn't responsible for the problems

OMFG, Flash you literally said they were in the last post:

Medicare was only one example. I don't have the time to list all the cuts I would make. There is no slack to pick up when you eliminate waste and fraud that goes to doctors, chiropractors, dentists, supply houses and criminals who are ripping off the public.

This is what I mean when I talk about how you act in bad faith, how you bullshit, and how you completely refuse to hold yourself to account for anything.

Free market medicine is like LASIK and plastic surgery that has gone down in price due to competition and consumer choosing their provider.

Right, elective things that aren't really necessary, and have nothing to do with the public health.

Wouldn't Medicare for all require people to pay for their health insurance? If 16 million are unemployed how are they going to make those payments?

Total bad faith here, as you know Medicare for All is funded by payroll taxes and business taxes. IN fact, we've had that very discussion numerous times. Every single time we do, you pretend we didn't. It's pathetic. You are such a dishonest, lying piece of shit.

"I take no responsibility at all"

You sure you're not a Trump voter?

Flash, even if that was true, don't you think that if you and millions just like you were responsible with your vote in 2016, we wouldn't be in this mess today?

Are you responsible for how others vote? If so, what have you done as part of this responsibility? You criticize others for not doing enough; yet, choose to take no action yourself.

You are responsible for your party choosing a candidate disliked by a majority of voters. Your support for candidates too liberal to get elected (Bernie, Warren?) make you responsible for voters choosing other alternatives.

Nationalizing the drug industry doesn't take away any incentive to push drugs--it is just not called "profits" but it still more money.

Do you know why we have millions of people addicted to opioids today?

It's because that was the only way drug companies could make money.

In fact, even Richard Sackler said so in his deposition.

Look at the actions of the FDA which are overly friendly with the drug industry. A major problem of government regulation is regulating for the benefit of the industry rather than the public.

Drug company CEO's are recorded in depositions saying they knew the risk of the product they were pushing, but chose to push it anyway because they wanted to make money.

It's all on video.

Agreed, but you are naive to think government wouldn't be just as greedy. You are talking about a government that interferes in elections of other nations, assassinates foreign leaders, gives citizens LSD, allows them to die from syphilis, obstructs justice, and does research to the benefit of industry.

Idiotic post, but if you want to go there "chiwawa," who's paying those people you think are peons, who is keeping them working, and last I knew, truckers had a Union

but since the union era, dems have abandoned the working class, in favor of feminism, and white male america hating.

Yes, I'm not defending drug companies. But nationalizing the drug business only puts all the greed in one place. Now the FDA rushes drugs to market to please the industry and produces research pretending the drugs are not harmful.

They spend a lot of money and prosecute a lot of fraud cases. But when there are over one billion Medicare transactions a year no amount of money can investigate all those cases. Investigations and enforcement do not prevent fraud, they just punish it afterward.

newsflash, it's a hand in glove situation. internationalist fascism.

I don't act in bad faith, you just can't read. Nowhere in that post does it suggest ending Medicare. It says we need to reduce waste and fraud. Read it again.

WE OPPOSED THE WAR ON TERROR, FLASH.

It was bOtHsIdErIsTs who supported the President during the Iraq War build up. Remember? Remember the people who cast the Iraq War debate aside because "bOtHsIdEs ArE tHe SaMe"?

What side were you on then? Not on the right side of history, that's for fucking sure.

So it was another thing that we were right about, that you were either wrong about, or tried to BoTh SiDeS it, while ignoring the warnings.

It's a pattern with you.

Since I think both sides are the same I obviously did not side with either. Your party is the one that supported the war along with the Republicans. Is that what you were "right" about?

This excuse making feels like you're passing the buck onto others. What does it matter if someone else decides to act irresponsibly? You are the one who made your choice yourself, as you said. A choice that looks really fucking bad now. So you don't want to be responsible for your own choice, Flash. And you shirk that responsibility with excuse-making like "Electoral College" or "I live in a red state already". So do I, Flash. I know the electoral college exists and I also live in a red state, yet I voted for Clinton because that was the only thing I could do to prevent a Trump Presidency. You didn't do the same because you didn't think that we would be in this mess today. That's the only reasonable explanation.

And your vote for Clinton was no more effective at preventing a Trump presidency than my vote for the Libertarian. So quit your self-righteous pretensions and accept that you are as guilty as the rest of us. What work did you do in the campaign, how much did you contribute, how many people did you call to remind them to vote. Trump won Georgia by 50.44%. What did you do to narrow that gap? Grow up and accept your loss--it has been three years. Accept responsibility and quit blaming others.

Yeah, and thanks to that choice you made, we are all suffering now.

Way to go idiot. Good work. Wonderful judgment. Fantastic instincts. I'm sure the families of the 20,000 people dead from this crisis are grateful that you made such a shitty choice in 2016.

That is what people would be telling you now if Hillary won.

And you still seem too dense to understand my vote would not have changed the 800,000 Trump lead in my state. The two major parties offered us two losers to choose from. Only brainwashed party lemmings chose between those two.

Your vote does not matter, because of the Electoral College system. If you do not live in a battleground state, NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR VOTE FOR PRESIDENT!!! Only somewhere in the 10-20% of the voters matter.

If we got rid of the Electoral College system, your vote would matter whether you were in California, Wyoming, or Florida. Any vote for trump or Biden would benefit them.

My vote would matter no more in a popular vote system. If the popular vote winner won by 3 million votes my vote would not affect that outcome. If the election was very close then only the most populated areas would matter because that is where the campaigns would be concentrated.

The swing states are only important for campaign purposes because that is where both parties would be putting their resources. The votes of each person in a swing state counts equally--it is winning that state that is important for determining the electoral vote winner.

Each vote counts equally toward winning the electoral votes of each state.

I agree except that we'd have to do more than just get rid of the electoral college. Get rid of winner take all, improve the census, have publicly funded elections, get rid of soft and dark money,
have truth in advertising for poltical ads, allow mail in ballots. here is what I think that will be at odds with liberals. I want a biometric national ID card and it should be required to vote.
I also want a paper trail for vote ballots. I don't want Russians hacking an election.

If trump wanted to win, he would need 3 million more votes to win, and you would be one of those 3 million votes. he would target ads at you, and try to convince you.

Right now, your vote goes to him whether he convinces you or not. he is not going to waste money on trying to convince you.

Or put another way, Vermont and Texas are getting the same amount of Covid-19 supplies. They are very different populations, but Vermont is a possible battleground state, and Texas is certainly going to trump, so he does not care about them.
