This is the plan: How to save Democracy

We'll know in a couple of days when the copy I bought arrives and I go through it. Evince will hate everything I say about it because it's almost certain to just be the usual radical Leftist tripe repackaged.
And you’ll be the only one on the board who actually has a copy.
Just like I was the only one here that bothered to read Original Sin: President Biden's Decline, Its Cover-up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again.

This fucker is 20 years out of date...the chances that he has anything relevant to say approach zero.

If you claim to believe in our constitution you have to understand the meaning of words
DON'T TRY TO HIDE BEHIND THE CONSTITUTION YOU DESPISE!
The founders used democracy and republic interchangeably
The United States was never a democracy.
A republic that uses democractic elections to pick the representatives is a democracy
A republic is not a democracy. A democracy has no representatives or constitution.
Go ahead

Keep being a dishonest fuck wit about it

And we will keep pointing out what a dishonest fuck wit you are while we educate the posters and readers of this site on history and the facts

Mmmmkay
Your own ineptitude with English is YOUR problem, Stooge.

Your idiot argument is not with me loser

It’s with every dictionary and encyclopedia that exists
You don't get to quote every book, Stooge.
Wikipedia is not a source.

There is no 'type' of democracy.
Democracy is government by popular vote. There is no constitution, and there are no representatives.
A republic is government by law (a constitution). That constitution specifies, among other things, representatives and how they are to be elected, and their power and authority.

The United States is a federated republic. It is made of States, each created and defined with a constitution, under a federal union, created and defined by it's constitution.

You don't want either a democracy or republic.
You want oligarchy.

Just got that book. OMG, what a complete dreck of a book it is. All anecdote and folk wisdom with a smattering of irrelevant non sequiturs tossed in. More in detail in a bit. Oh, and if Wikler is supposed to one of the Democrat's funniest politicians, this book is absolute proof the Left has ZERO sense of humor. There is nothing humorous in it at all.

If you are looking at the spiraling crisis of American politics in the Trump era and wondering how the hell we get out of this mess, This Is the Plan is the book you've been waiting for.

Ben Wikler led the Democratic Party of Wisconsin to a string of improbable victories in a state with a political system so rigged that it was dubbed a "democracy desert"--which is, coincidentally, Trump's goal for the whole country.
I got a copy today. The book in a work sucks. It's drivel, dreck, empty rhetoric and anecdote. Easily one of the worst political books I've ever read.
