Polling is a tool. That's all it is. Public polling is not divining the future by reading tea leaves. It's an indicator of public sentiment. It can be used when focusing more on some states and less on others for campaign purposes. Still, all smart, sane people know that the only poll that matters is the one in November. One reason Hillary didn't campaign in certain key states is because her strategy was off and that was probably off due to polling. Their own polls matched with other reputable sources.

Dude, it's not a literal approval rating among Americans. That's not how these things work and they will never reflect the true numbers out there. They could be higher they could be lower. Who do you think they are polling for you to want to brag? It's the very reason polls are so varied on the exact same subject. It's sad more people don't get the gist of numbers games. Just like with gambling they are just there to create hype. Have you ever been to the horse races? The numbers work the same there.

Some polls are just that. Internet polls make it possible for people to vote as often as they like. Other polls derive any conclusion that they want, simply by the choice of questions.
I never trusted polls. That doesn't mean that they are always wrong. They were correct about Clinton.
I don't disagree about the age of the candidates. I would have liked to see mayor Pete in the mix. If not for the politicization of everything in today's climate, I think he'd make a great VP instead of choosing a token women/minority just to draw out the non white, non male vote.
Even though women are going to destroy trump in November no matter who the candidate is.
