Now how sick that is?

Regardless of the circumstances, the most powerful individual in the world takes time out of his day to personally attack a small privately owned business in the United States. Not a corporation, nor a big player, not even a famous eatery, but a dinky little restaurant most likely only locals in the area even knew existed, but the President of the United States thinks it deserves to be personally attacked?

No events justify that complete abuse of authority, but it certainly says a lot about the shortcomings of the individual holding the postion and his interpretation of the office, certainly far from Jeffersonian

And just like economics, conservatives will tell us in the next breath they understand and respect tthe traditions and principles established by the Founding Fathers

^ ROFL...why don't you write up Articles of Impeachment over a Tweet?

You are losing your shit like the other TDS crowd. too bad. I thought you were better then that.

Yes they deserve to be "attacked". It's gotten to the point the Goons are camping out in front of people's houses
( just happened to Sec of Homeland Sec.) now Goon Squads are attacking customers in restaurants.

We don't act like that. Politics is not a blood sport, at least it never was in my lifetime, with the exception of Vietnam

Methinks a small and otherwise unknown restaurant just got international recognition.

Trump just provided them with free brand recognition.

Kind of reminds me of President and "acting stupidly".

Goon Squads should be outted.. whatever you think of Trump or his adm, they are doing a legit job

Obviously it went right over your head

The guy is the President of the United States, the most powerful position in the world, and he is taking the time to personally attack a private owned small restaurant in nowheresville, and you don't see that as an abuse of power?

Suppose tomorrow he decides to use his position and power to take on the mom an pop grocery store in Salina, Kansas because he doesn't like their name, you wouldn't think that was sick nor a violation of the way the Founding Fathers envisioned the office?

"Goon Squads?" Some nobody dinky restaurant in nowheresville deserves the power of the President of the United States to come bearing down on it?

Business as usual by trump-supporting scum...

WASHINGTON — Michael Friedman wants you to know something: His Red Hen restaurant, located in D.C.’s Bloomingdale neighborhood, is unaffiliated with the Red Hen in Lexington, Virginia.
And D.C.’s Red Hen, he said, is open to all.

It’s a message the owner has been trying to get out since Saturday, when White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders that she and her party were asked to leave the Lexington eatery the night before because she works for President Donald Trump.

Unfortunately, Friedman’s eatery — along with similarly named restaurants in New Jersey and Connecticut — have been the target of social media outrage ever since. Thousands of tweets and such aimed at Friedman’s place have ranged from merely critical to outright threatening.

“We’ve received death threats,” Friedman said.

absolutely absurd on your part. "Abuse of power" by a Tweet ??
WTF is wrong with your understanding of power of Office.. Nobody was threatened, it was a simple call out
on unacceptable , uncivil behavior.

Trump was speaking to support his staff - a federal employee -for going out to a restaurant.
He has every right to do so,and I personally think he should speak out.

Not with violence or threats, or over nothing -but because Americans are supposed to allow people to go about their business without goon like behaviors over where they eat.

Perfect example of what I said about a conservative who will in the next breath will tell us they respect the traditions and principles of the Founding Fathers but here see no problem with the Chief Executive of the Nation berating individual private citizens

Hello anatta,

who cares?

No, I can't agree that they are doing a legit job when some of his decisions have been overturned by courts.

But as long as he holds that office, he does deserve the modicum of respect the office demands. That's why you won't hear me calling him names or making up things about him. And, really, there is no point in any of that. He provides a constant and rich treasure trove of material to criticize. Straightforward criticism of his actions is damning enough. And he deserves every word of it. He really generates so much controversy there are not enough hours in a day to mount all the criticism he deserves. I resign myself to simply pick out some of the more egregious examples and speak up for what is right.

Death threats?

That's DEPLORABLE.

There's some messed up Trump supporters out there.

I don't recall stating an opinion regarding "the traditions and principles of the Founding Fathers", anchovies.

Nor do I recall any prohibition against "Chief Executive of the Nation berating individual private citizens".
