Correct about a disease but not quite true about "EVERYBODY can get it" as you and I've previously discussed. Those who take precautions have better odds of avoiding infection than those who do not.

Example; college students fucking. Those who use condoms are less likely than those who don't to avoid several STDs (usually HIV, Gonorrhea and Syphilis). Sure, condoms aren't perfect. They break, the disease may be transferred by means other than coitus and they won't stop crabs (that's where shaving comes in!) Still, better to use a condom and it be for nothing than to not use a condom and both infect yourself and risk infecting others.

Agreed about House Democrats. Let's check back in two weeks and see who have been messing around without a raincoat a mask. :)

Contact tracing. Pretty simple concept. It's like if you contracted VD in college. You'd be treated but public health officials would want to know with whom you've had sexual relations or "contact". They then work backwards from each contact (sometimes like Six Degrees of Separation) until they can eradicate the disease or, at worst, control it.

Even so, it takes time. The Rose Garden event is just simple math compared to who has been infected to date. That could change. Give it a couple more weeks. October Surprise??? LOL

A senior administration official told CNN's Jake Tapper on Saturday that the cluster of coronavirus cases among top Republican officials likely began at President Donald Trump's Rose Garden event announcing the nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court.

The official said it "seems highly likely this (outbreak) originated at the SCOTUS announcement last week. It may have come from the Hill. The next major concern will be securing Capitol Hill and protecting lawmakers."

Correct. Better leadership, and not just this administration, would have saved the lives of thousands. All of this can be traced back to budget cuts, especially for the national defense system. In the 1970s the US was prepared for an enemy bioweapon attack. After 9/11, the threat of Anthrax threw officials a bit because a lot of that system of defense had been cut. Now, 19 years later, even the health services network has been cut to the point they ran out of PPE for medical personnel, not just the population.

Agreed on choices. Very poor judgement. Truth Detector could've done better.

As for "others who work for them", yes, bad leadership, but every one of those workers also made a choice. They're adults, they knew the risks and, therefore, must bear a share of the blame. Not all the blame since if a person is lied to, it's the liar's fault, not necessarily the person who believed them.

Necessarily being a caveat about "should have known better than to trust them."

But, Hey!, let's look in the bright side! The election just got more interesting! All tossup elections may have taken a Left Hand turn by virtue of the fact sick Republicans can't vote on Election day. Quarantined or sick Republican Senators, all 18 of them, may lose some votes for looking like weakling Euro-trash whose genes are not superior to Democrats! Seriously, the entire event is Karmically Epic!
