Military distribution of vaccines was thought of decades ago, before trump was even born. trump had nothing to do with a vaccine invented in Germany by Turkish Germans.

When is the last time you saw it implemented in a private/public partnership? For one. Trump paid damn near 2 billion to get the vaccines manufactured over here. You can keep trying to downplay what he did. You will fall flat on your face.

trump paid Kodak money for a vaccine. If you have never heard of Kodak producing a vaccine, you are not alone. Even Kodak had never heard of it.

Meanwhile, BioNTech has all their manufacturing facilities in Germany. To get their experts into the USA would be difficult with trump as president, so Pfizer is putting off manufacturing in the USA until after trump leaves office.

Some vaccines must be super cold, and other just have to be cold. There is no telling which vaccines we would go with, so trump should have been getting ready for all of them. he did not. he hoped that it would be easy, rather than preparing for it to be hard. he is a lazy, low energy person, who hopes everything will be easy.

The US military is not welcome in many parts of the world. Having the US military distributing medicine on a global level would be insane. It would involve many Iraq and Afghanistan Wars at once.

They want to talk to the technical people, who have the technical information. These political appointees usually have no background in science, and are often very anti-science. If you mention anything to do with evolution, they howl like banshees, and start blocking you at every turn. Even if you do, you have to explain everything at a 3rd grad level, and hope to indirectly communicate with the technical people you wanted to.

Even with distribution, "Operation Warp Speed" falls apart. There is no attempt to have final distribution, and the supply chain treats this like a normal vaccine. It has to be kept much colder than a normal vaccine, so all the money spent on refrigerated airplanes and trucks is completely useless for the Pfizer vaccine. Pfizer explained this repeatedly to the trump white house over the last 6 months, but no one there could understand this very simple point.

So Pfizer is out of pocket hundreds of millions to distribute the vaccine themselves. Thank God Pfizer has stepped in to replace the US Government while the orange baby has been destroying it.
