Iran is such a thriving, normal society that the government blocks major websites, filters the internet, arrests people for speech, and makes freely criticizing the regime a genuinely risky hobby.

But sure — somebody visited a few times, saw groceries on shelves, and apparently that settles it.

You're conflating two different things.

Trump continues to claim the military strikes succeeded in degrading Iran's nuclear capability. True or not, he has not backed away from that claim.

The economic measures are much more about the Strait of Hormuz and the countries helping keep its economy functioning.

So shifting to sanctions is not automatically an admission that the military strikes failed. You're taking two different objectives and pretending they're one.

Trump was taught by his mentor to never admit defeat, and in his dementia is it impossible to now what of reality Trump knows, it is all falsehoods all the time from Trump and the people around him.

For instance there was a day recently where the Regime claimed that 20m barrels went through the strait in one day....according to my people the actual number was 0.

The Strait of Hormuz was fully open on February 27, the day before Trump's War.

So it's pretty sad if the goal of this conflict is down to fixing the mess Trump created and getting the Strait back to the way it was on February 27.

That still doesn’t answer the distinction I made. Your debate method requires a pasta fork to follow.

Yes, the Strait was open before the war. Iran’s ability to disrupt it is now part of the conflict because Iran chose to use that leverage in response.

That does not mean sanctions are an admission that the strikes on Iran’s nuclear program failed. Trump still claims those strikes achieved their objective.

You’re taking a new problem created during the conflict — Iran’s leverage over Hormuz — and retroactively using it as proof that a different military objective failed.

You can argue Trump created the conditions for the Hormuz crisis. Fine. But that is a different argument from the one you originally made, which is why your debate skills are becoming comical.
