Another reason why foreigners shouldn't be listened to regarding US laws.

Forget the bear spray. If a person assaults a police officer with a water balloon and enough penetrates his nose and mouth that he chokes to death in the middle of a riot, of which the assaulter is a member, can the assaulter be charged with homicide? Yes, he can.

More importantly, can he be convicted of homicide, say "negligent homicide of a police officer"? Time will tell, but I won't be betting any money on those assholes getting away with killing a cop.

Regardless, as noted about above about a water balloon, if a person commits a crime (assaulting a police officer) and that officer dies, for whatever reason, can the assaulter be held accountable for their death? That's up to the courts, but I think the assaulter is going to face conviction.
