I'm not even talking about the interruptions, I'm talking about Wallace INSISTING Trump "answer the question" as Wallace wanted it answered instead of letting him deconstruct Biden's BS

Exactly. I saw the larger picture. Wallace was simply a milder version. Trump has had 4 straight uninterrupted years of commands from those seeking to
never cooperating, never giving any benefit of doubt, lying, twisting his words, working with media to set him up for failure, destroy his family, create
false events (Russia collusion) and impeach him. Those who have INSISTED that he accounts for every breath he breathes and word he's speaks.
All because they lost an election they've sanctioned violence, stoked the fires of racism, called HIM every vulgar name possible, disregarded the need for
peace for the country's citizens all to indulge their own personal selfish desires to commit revenge.

And, against all that I'm supposed to worry about him "breaking the rules" in a little 90 minute long debate? When most all of the lifetime swampy pols
who've been leaching off the taxpayers for the last 50 years and comfortable in their little elite political cliques had their little corrupt worlds blown up
by an outsider 4 years ago...I say 'GOOD!'

We hired him to break the "rules".

The idea of a mike cutoff is being floated elsewhere. The alternative is no debate at all. If the rules aren't changed, I won't be watching the next one.

That simple step—turning the mic on and off according to who is supposed to be speaking—would allow the next debates to go on with a modicum of decorum. We might actually be able to hear what the candidates are saying. The split screen could still allow the candidates to laugh, smirk, shake their heads in outrage, or whatever. But at least we would be able to hear what the candidates had to say, a modest improvement over the most awful presidential debate ever.

Moderator: "This segment is about the economy. Ready? Set? Go!"
15 minutes later, blow an air horn, give them the segment topic and let'm go again.

To be honest I thought both of them were awful and the debate was totally useless. All we got was the same partisan BS from Biden and the same blustering that Trump is noted for. Neither gave me any reason to vote for them. Wasted 1.5 hours.

Unless there are means to control the combatants I'll read the reviews after the next one.........

It really didn't take long for conservatives to take one of the most juvenile, boorish and unhinged debate performances in American history & spin it into some sort of positive.

Trump was absolutely off the rails. Had Biden acted like that, the feedback from the right would have been that he went full dementia, and had no idea where he was.
