I heard a good line today, “the demand for racism in sports outweighs the supply”.

Racism is a very real thing. So why the need to jump on stories that aren’t real and take away from the real racism?

You answered that because at the core this is all about Trump. The desire is to paint America as an evil racist white supremecist country while he is President. Thus the desire to jump on and run with a story like this before the facts come out.

That's honestly not my desire. All I'd really like to see is an honest national dialogue. What they (and Trump) did w/ the kneeling was cynical, and a manipulative play about patriotism. We had a really good shot there to actually engage, and there was no leadership.

So I do blame him for that. But this goes back WELL before Trump. It's easy to see if you look at it objectively. The minority community has been trying to highlight the issue for as long as I've been alive - mostly in peaceful ways, and genuinely seeking to be heard. But when things get ignored for too long, they boil over.

I think the hardest thing to hear today is that there are still many who think this is largely made up. That it's a policing issue in general - and not something the black community experiences uniquely.

Was it an actual noose or just a loop of rope?

The reason I ask is because if it was a loop, whoever found it surely should have known it was from a garage door and not an actual noose. Did they question this person at any length? Wouldn’t Bubba be familiar with the garage door loop handles?

Or maybe the Feds decided not to press too hard on that in the current climate.

It would be nice to see a picture of it.
