Good point. It seems like his special brand of magical thinking. "If I say it out loud, it becomes true." Plus it's a lot easier than actually doing something to "make America great again," like fixing health care, passing immigration reform, curbing inflation (easily done by stopping the bullshit with Iran), making housing available and affordable, etc.

Biden was merely a standard issue poli-hack but not the worst of his lot in his heyday. He managed well, worked across the aisle and got things accomplished. One might not like his politics but one can not deny that when he was functional he was highly so.
