Digging up dirt on political opposition is unethical, but has been around for centuries. Only the tech has changed, not human nature. Some digging efforts are legal, some not so much.

It appears the Steele Dossier was legal, albeit not 100% accurate. It's important to know where the lines are drawn. Time will tell if Trump, Rudy or anyone else in the Trump administration crossed any lines.

Agreed. IMO, it's an indicator of weakness. There's two ways to run in an election: On one's own record of accomplishments or on the faults of the opponent or predecessor.

Trump obviously doesn't have enough accomplishments to support reelection, so he has to use blaming Obama and Biden in his efforts to win.

There was enough hyperventilating that anyone who was going to be influenced it, was.
