What the United States Attorney is looking for and why?

They have yet to come up with a good reason... they basically are saying...

You should not investigate is someone committed a crime or not unless you already have proof they committed a crime.

Proof is always helpful...unless it's Hillary...in her case all the proof gets ignored, dismissed and/or covered up by the swamp.

What justice did he as president obstruct?

He basically said he in part fired Comey to hinder the investigation into him.

Taking any action with the purpose of hindering an investigation by the FBI is OBSTRUCTION.

Following Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s invasion of the office and home of President Trump’s personal lawyer, voters increasingly believe Mueller’s probe is politically biased. But they also tend to think he is unlikely to nail the president for anything criminal.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 46% of Likely U.S. Voters still believe Mueller’s investigation is an honest attempt to determine criminal wrongdoing, but that’s down from 52% last October. Forty percent (40%) now consider Mueller’s probe a partisan witch hunt, an eight-point increase from 32% in the earlier survey. Fourteen percent (14%) are undecided. Presidents can order the starting or stopping of an investigation.
The president is the superior of the attorney general, who in turn is the superior of the FBI director, the FBI is a component of the Justice Department and the FBI director works for and answers to the president.
Trump told Comey, "I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go". Even Comey did not perceive himself to have been impeded and he didn't resign or report a crime up or down his chain of command.

You really believe the President has the ability to interfere in a legal investigation? Scary

The Flynn investigation continued which really doesn't matter. A president can begin or end investigations if he chooses. Trump did not.

The President may also be brought up on obstruction of justice charges if there is not a good legal reason for ending an investigation. No man, no President or Congress person is above the law.

Yeah right....like Hillary. LOL

Comey himself didn't have a "legal" problem with it.

That’s the point that they keep ignoring, the president can hire and fire at will, the president can start and stop investigations, but if he takes action, even within his authority, with the intent of obstructing justice, he has used his authority to commit a crime.

If you don’t believe me, just ask Richard Nixon.

Rasmussen?

:rofl2:

That was part of it as well. Nixon wanted stop a CRIMINAL investigation into himself and cover-ups among other things.

With Trump it was about a request to "ease up" on Flynn. The Flynn investigation continued anyway. Comey didn't think it was obstruction when he was asked that by Trump. And, Comey made it abundantly clear on numerous occasions to Trump that he was not under any Russiaphobnia investigation.

So, what are left with? Maybe Trump was still irked about how Comey mishandled the Hillary stuff. Maybe Trump just didn't trust him. Maybe Trump didn't like his haircut. Who knows? He fired him.
