This is why I laugh at the "ignore" feature, as she will still visibly see the posts of anyone who she decides to put on "ignore" so long as someone else who isn't on her ignore list decides to quote those posts in their own responses. It also doesn't in any way stop me from being able to respond to her posts. It DOES, however, stop her from being able to directly respond to my posts, so that's her loss really.
The "ignore" feature is simply a way of creating a "kiddie pool" (which is often times also referred to as an "echo chamber"). The person doing so is also committing the bulverism fallacy, as she is dismissing any argument that [insert person here] is making simply because [insert person here] is the one who is making the argument. I don't put anyone on "ignore", not only because it doesn't exactly do what is intended of it, but because even morons such as herself do make sound arguments once in a while. Also, I am a supporter of open discussion.
Even worse, the 'ignore feature' only allows people to talk about your posts behind your back, so to speak.
