Why do Democrats want illegals pouring into this country?

If you think adopting our platforms every 20+ years will absolve you from either your past or present sins, then have at it.

Keep in mind, the GOP platform of 1854 defended marriage, and Dems still haven't caught-up.

I can only try to help you fix your willful ignorance on those party labels. I can’t fix your massive stupidity.

Who told you today’s Dems don’t defend marriage? They just helped to expand it to more people. Why are more civil rights anathema to today’s Republicans?

The Dems of the 19th Century were conservatives. You’re a conservative, aren’t you?

Marriage, and religious ideas aren't made for politics. Politics is inherently corrupt, and I don't want it touching religion, or it's constructs with a ten foot pole, or vice versa. They are oil, and water. That was decided at our founding. They're already off the map on pro-life. Besides that, what you're saying is pretty nuts anyway, as if our policies are old conservative ones. You want to explain how conservative policy shaped pro-choice, marriage equality, easy access to healthcare? If you stayed the party of Lincoln, maybe you could say that. Conservatives have been on the same train since way back, fading away from what they were. It came to a head with the "moral majority" stuff.

You can't expand marriage. It is what it is.

If Dems were conservative, then why did they detest capitalism? Why did they not attempt to conserve the Constitution and the Union? I mean, the party never was descended from Hamilton or Adams, or any of the conservative founders.

Attacking marriage goes against the first two GOP platforms. The Dems have replaced their support of slavery, secession, and segregation with abortion, assisted suicide, and so forth. Whenever the GOP wins those fights, they'll be onto something else. Perhaps they'll start oppressing AI, or something?
