Will AI lead to a basic minimum wage?

Other way around you uneducated, welfare collecting dunce.
And as for the welfare slur I am retired and more then likely earn more retired then you do working , You would have to earn more then $25 an hour to even be near what I earn, and morons like you usually don't earn anything near that.

So you say.
YES I do , and I didn't pay one cent for them either. got the Bachelors degree on the GI bill, that was almost like a second job , they paid me about $70 a week back in the late 70s. and the Company I worked for paid me to go to school and earn the other three.

Yawn. Whatever you tell yourself to keep from offing yourself in shame. Welfare boy.

That's the way to do it! Did the same thing. Worked as an industrial electrician making about local scale in wages while getting GI bill and going to college. College was massively more fun when you're not broke. Best was the company I worked for didn't particularly care when I was there so long as everything electrical worked and new equipment got installed promptly. Even had some local outside sales vendors that would take me to lunch and such because I was buying massive quantities of electrical stuff from their companies.

Didn't owe a nickel and got two Batchelor's of science out of it.

And the two I have in counseling are in drug abuse and Alcohol abuse, and I would advise you to cut back on both your alcohol and drug use, you seem to go over board a lot, too much of either isn't good for your health.

Hilarious.

Grok, how likely is it that a self-proclaimed professional with purported "degrees" in counseling in drug abuse and alcohol abuse would "advise" me "to cut back on both your alcohol and drug use" based on my comments on JustPlainPolitics.com? https://www.justplainpolitics.com/threads/will-ai-lead-to-a-basic-minimum-wage.248629/post-7012105

Grok:

Very low likelihood that this is a legitimate, qualified professional offering genuine advice—it's almost certainly just forum trash-talking.

From the thread you linked, Tbird19482 the username in the post, is a regular on JustPlainPolitics.com. After claiming degrees (Bachelor's in Business via GI Bill, Associates in Electrical Engineering, and two in "counseling" for drug/alcohol abuse, supposedly paid for by a company), they dropped this line: "And the two I have in counseling are in drug abuse and Alcohol abuse, and I would advise you to cut back on both your alcohol and drug use, you seem to go over board a lot..."

Why this doesn't hold up as professional advice:

  • Anonymous forum poster: No real name, verifiable bio, LinkedIn, or professional footprint tied to these claims. Forum users frequently exaggerate or fabricate credentials in political flame wars. Searches turn up nothing substantive on this handle beyond other forum activity.
  • No public verification: New York (via OASAS) has a public credential lookup for CASAC (Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor) and related titles. Nothing matches this user. Legit NY counselors are trackable; this isn't.
  • Context is pure trolling: The "advice" comes right after being challenged on their claimed degrees ("So you say" / Hitchens's Razor responses). It's a classic ad hominem jab in a heated political thread about AI/unemployment—not a clinical assessment. Real counselors don't diagnose or advise based on forum posts, especially without consent, a proper evaluation, or maintaining boundaries.
  • Degrees don't automatically mean "professional": Even if real, a degree in counseling doesn't equal licensure, active practice, or ethical standing to give unsolicited remote "advice." NY has specific requirements (training hours, exams, supervised experience, ongoing credentials). Retired or not, pros don't typically hawk this in political forums.

Bottom line: This is ~95%+ likely just a random internet guy (possibly a veteran/retiree from their other claims) LARPing credentials to win an argument. Political forums are full of this—people claim expertise to own the other side. It has zero professional weight. The "advice" here is about as reliable as random Reddit comments.

Please tell me you didn't accept @Tbird19482's word.

I do not know any person with as many degrees as you claim.....falling apart so rapidly and with zero educational retort. Welfare boy.
Well it only took me 15 years going part time , and as I said I got paid for going , from the GI bill and my employer.

Not speaking for him of course however I think he was honoring the process, not the individual. If you notice TA Gardner who actually did it speaks intellectually, always has facts and shows rational engineering/mechanical aptitude. The contrast between one who did one who claims too have done is striking.

Sorry, Skip; neither of them have posted any evidence. Anecdotes ain't proof.

Note that I am not calling either man a liar. I'm saying that posting claims without evidence is futile.
