MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN
If I was a plaintiff's lawyer I'd claim that given today's climate, they should have had a metal detector or x-ray scanner in place.
Paranoid much??
If I was a plaintiff's lawyer I'd claim that given today's climate, they should have had a metal detector or x-ray scanner in place.
You could claim it but that doesn’t mean you would be victorious.
Are you saying that EVERY building should be manned with TSA agents and scanners?
Before last night what would warrant that type of security in a casino?
I would argue that casinos are some of the most secure buildings in the world given the amount of money that is at stake.
But your contention is baseless and makes you look stupid. Not a difficult feat mind you. But nonetheless impressive

Christina Grimmie family sues Florida venue over her killing
The singer in the above incident was standing outside in the parking lot when she was shot and her family is suing the club.
The sooner you realize you're too fucking stupid to talk to me, the better off you'll be, sonny boy.
Now get off my leg.
Sure, you can sue for anything in this country.

What do they do about gun shows, do you store weapons in their vault? I couldn't find their gun policy.
I did find you can't smoke marijuana at their hotel.
BINGO!!!!
Now please explain that to your fucking idiot BFFs like Dumber Than Shit, God Hates Right-wing America and Toxic Turd Breath to name just a few.
My God the obtuse stupidity is so thick amongst the Trumptards around here, I have to have a machete with me every time I log in here, just to cut through it!!!!

The situation is slightly more complex but very lax.

It's a given that people can sue for anything. The discussion here is would a lawsuit have merit/hold up in court. I'm not a lawyer so I can't speak to it but if the expectation was to have a TSA type environment prior to this act then the Vegas strip will no longer exist.
You don't have to prove shit, retard.
The burden of proof in a civil lawsuit is THE PREPONDERANCE OF THE EVIDENCE.
If stupidity had a dollar value, you'd be Trump's best friend.
No, that's not what the discussion here was about.
The only question I posted was how much they'd be sued for.
Then your knee-jerk, wing-nut retard friends started shitting their drawers about it.
Nobody said the families of victims "can't sue", did they? Suing doesn't mean winning. People who file frivolous lawsuits find that out eventually.
It will be interesting to see if contingent liability is brought to bear regarding any claims against the hotel.
The preponderance of the evidence in this thread seems to lean toward a ruling that you're hardly an expert.
Case dismissed, with prejudice.
Bailiff take the plaintiff into custody, for his own protection and he's to be held, until a psych eval can show he's not a danger to himself or others.
All rise!![]()
What security system? When was the last time your luggage was checked when you checked into a hotel? Has that ever happened to anybody here? Seriously. Did you think before you typed this? They didn't "exploit a loophole" people bring big luggage into those rooms all the frickin' time.
The lawsuit was dismissed but Grimmie's family was given an opportunity to re-file the suit. The judge complained that the suit did not make enough of a distinction between the concert promoter and the venue owner.

At least 50 wrongful death lawsuits. Several hundred personal injury lawsuits.
Paddock exploited a hole in their security system in order to get the guns in his room.
Any guesses what the dollar value of the lawsuits might climb to?
Hundreds of millions or possibly even billions?
They find out, especially when the Court rules that the one(s) who brought the suit are now liable for the other sides court expenses.
Never, only in the airport and at the Mexican borderI didn't say they wouldn't be sued. I said that the guy didn't go through a "loophole" in any "security". He walked in with luggage, nobody checks your luggage at a hotel. You made a point in how he went through some imaginary loophole. I just want to know when the last time you've had somebody paw through your luggage at any hotel as part of some magical security check?
There is virtually nothing illegal in Nevada when it comes to guns. Hotels are private property, and each has its own policy. With a gun show next week, they probably thought he was there for the show, and let him have his arsenal in his roomUsername fail.^
It was reported on the news earlier this morning.
Besides, it's pretty obvious he got around security, since I doubt it's the hotel policy to allow a guest to bring an arsenal into their room.
Try to think for yourself little fella.
its going to cost big bucks even if none of the suits make it through the courts
