I said that there would be a witch hunt and so it transpires. Joe Mccarthy had nothing on these people.
That's a blog from a consumer lawyer with no statistics, just one story
How do you know I haven't, Tom?
How do you know I haven't, Tom?
Do you have proof that you have? I'll understand if you can't provide it.
If I'd made a claim, you'd have a point.
Since I didn't, you don't.
I don't share my personal details online, unlike Tommy the feckless farang, who actually posted under his real name here and has posted pics of his family, in addition toborin'regaling the forum with his globe-trotting accounts of foreign adventure.
I understand how HR works..duh.All large corporations and most smaller ones as well now have standardized HR rules for employee behavior. I can assure you that NBC's HR department looked at the allegations and verified them before willy-nilly terminating Lauer. They fear lawsuits from harassed employees -- and from wrongfully-terminated ones as well -- and therefore have teams of legal eagles who have written procedures for virtually everything dealing with employees' work behaviors.
You either have or haven't. Can you prove it either way? What you do online is what you do in real life. Hide like a little pussy. I don't how you do it specifically in real life but online you run like a bitch from debate. That's provable, son.

What you are missing is these are allegations -how can they be "verified" in such a short time span? like 24 hours?
Fear of lawsuits is not an excuse to terminate an otherwise honest and productive employee.
In fact if there was a process; lawsuits would wait until after some reconciliations between the facts and the allegations.
Suppose this was all smoke and mirrors? after all you are advocating termination without even a careful look at the evidence, and a chance for the employee to respond!
Go thru a process. a week or 2 doesn't matter.
i do not want a mob mentality to be the norm. I fear it is becoming that. That Fowl Woman's assurances are worthless.
FEMOCRATS have seen how mere allegations can be used to ruin the lives of men they want to ruin.

There needs to be an examination of the evidence/cross examination of witness testimony,
and some type of formal proceeding -not "we looked at it carefully" "you're fired!"

i think you are correct. It won't happen. Ironically, due process for "toxic masculinity" is a thing of the past, largely due to the enthusiastic efforts of this man:
from what i heard the allegations were made monday. We have no way of knowing what the time span is between the person going to HR with her story, and the termination of Mr. Lauer.
I am not advocating "termination without even a careful look at the evidence." I am stating that given the fact that corporations employ lots of attorneys and are wary of being sued, that it is quite likely that evidence was presented, looked at by multiple people, and the decision was made to fire Mr. Lauer. We have no way to know how long this process took. Weeks? Months? A few days?
