Elites are thriving under Trump

A guaranteed basic income...a generous one...is almost a certainty.

IF NOT...a guaranteed uprising that would dwarf what happened in late 18th century France and early 20th century Russia...is in store.

I'd much rather we take the peaceful route. But...

Hello cawacko,

I have calculated an increase of the top rate from 39% to 50% will allow us to begin paying down the debt. We would also have to return to previous military spending levels.

Even surgeons can be replaced by machines. Here is one which performs surgery without assistance - better than a human can do:

"The team showed for the first time that a supervised autonomous robot could perform soft-tissue surgery, stitching together a pig's bowel during open surgery -- and doing so better than a human surgeon.

The machine is made up of a robotic arm and surgical tools that use imaging technologies and markers to navigate along tissue. The visuals further help the robot decide where stitches should be made.
"The robot makes the decision of where sutures should go, based on vision and pressure," Kim said. "The precision is within a sub-millimeter range.""

Would you let a robot perform your surgery by itself?

You are obviously free not to answer this but may I ask your age? I ask in the context that Frank says he's 81 and he's the other poster worried about automation taking all jobs. I could be wrong but it seems if it were to happen those who should be most worried are the youth yet they aren't worried. My belief is they have grown up with technology so it doesn't scare them the same it does for someone of the Boomer generation or older for whom this is a totally different world.

I guess you don't know what stock buybacks are.

CEO pay grew 500%. Worker's pay is stagnant. You shouldn't need this to be explained to you.

1)LMAO... yes, I do. Do you? Please explain what you think a stock by back is. I mean, I have only worked in investments for 20 years.

2) Again... you are not even bothering to pay attention. As I stated, if everyone starts with different dollar amounts and then goes up by the same percentage, then you are going to have an expansion of the wealth gap. Quit switching the topic if you truly want to discuss my comments.

3) AGAIN... 98% of companies are PRIVATE. CNBC talking about the 2% of companies that are public? You think that makes your argument valid? LMAO

There's very little spending that can be cut without negatively impacting the economy.

It is a much greater long term negative to continuously outspend revenue. Short term pain for long term prosperity.

Not since Ike has the nation reduced its total debt in a fiscal year.

In his defense he's from New York. Obvious signs include being an a*hole and a know it all. He suffers from both

Something else.

Replace an economic system...with a country?

Is English a first language with you?

I'm not a liberal.

Aahhh another liberal trying to be cute. You know what I meant. An economic system something akin to Venezuela’s? Now before you bring up your favorite scandanavian countries just know that they heavily restrict immigration and they rely on ya for national defense.

And another liberal afraid to admit he is a liberal. Lots of that going around lately
