I guess the Dems don't really care that much about separating children from familes

If Schumer cares so much about the "crisis" at the border, why won't he work with Republicans to fix it?

Senate Democratic Leader*Charles Schumer(N.Y.) on Tuesday dismissed a legislative proposal backed by Republican leaders to keep immigrant families together at the border, arguing that*President Trump*could fix the problem more easily with a flick of his pen.

Asked if that meant Democrats would not support a bill backed by Senate Majority Leader*Mitch McConnell*(R-Ky.) to keep immigrant families together while seeking asylum on the U.S. border, Schumer said they want to keep the focus on Trump.

Didn't cryin' Chuck vote for the 2002 Homeland Security Act that defined how the DHS is required to deal with illegal immigrant children?

Punishing the children is Trump's wild card to get funding for his border wall. The Republicans control everything now.

I do not think Congress will pass funding for the wall. And I certainly do not want any one party controlling anything in this country. I like checks and balances.

I think the point that you're too stupid to get is that the Republicans control both houses and the executive so Schumer is irrelevant and the only one that really needs to fix trumps fuckup is trump

He has been for a very long time. Good point.

Ah, it was Sessions and Trump's decision to go with "zero tolerance" that produced the embarrassing situation now occurring not Schumer's vote for the 2002 Homeland Security Act, bad "whataboutism"

Did you care when Obama tore families asunder during his Reign of Error?

Did you urge DEMOCRATS to pass reforming legislation when they held a majority in Congress?

Why do we always have to educate conservatives, Obama, nor Bush before him, came up with a "zero tolerance" policy, nor did they have to embarrass themselves attempting to employ the Bible to defend it

And please don't copy and paste one of those pictures you found on some right wing website implying inhumanly Obama locked up kids

Actions or inaction speaks louder than words. If you cared you'd suggest a reasonable solution to illegal immigrants.

Sure they would, in a minute, but no "reasonable solution" has surfaced yet, Republicans themselves haven't come up with a "reasonable solution" they can agree upon

And if "actions ..... speak roundel than words" Trump could end the child separation in one minute if he really cared

Why? He has the countries and the worlds attention. Once again.

Who's embarrassed? Trump has done nothing illegal. If DEMOCRATS don't want the law enforced, why did they vote in favor of its passage? In fact, little Adam Schiff was a co-sponsor.

I don't recall hearing any angst from you while Obama was tearing immigrant families apart.

How come DEMOCRATS didn't change the law when they had a Congressional majority and Obama infesting the Oval office, grandpa Andrew? They rammed Obamacare through without any difficulty.
