I do disagree with that. Here's why. You used some fancy language there. Broken down, "a national policy of exacting money from those that have to give to those that do not", or advocating Something Jesus never advocated. Jesus advocated helping your neighbor through the goodness of your heart. Not threatening or using violence to help others.
I think that there are American conservatives that have that mentality. I also think there are American liberals with that mentality. On Bernie Sanders latest tax returns, he made well over 1 million dollars last year. Making him part of the 1% he so badly wants us to think he despises. But he donated just over $7k to charity. This is all verifiable.
The I've got mine, screw you, mentality isn't a partisan mentality. It's a human mentality. I've known plenty of people who support communism or socialism, until it's their money that's being taken. Bernie loves socialism. But he pays less than I do in taxes, 13.5%. And I might make 1/10th of what he does in a year. Whatever happened to the rich paying their fair share?
I'm not defending all conservative policy or all conservatives. I know people who've worked for Koch Industries who will tell anyone who will listen how they are the worst people in the world and terrible to their employees. I also know a guy who spent a day with George W. Bush, and said he was the nicest guy in the world. Back to the point though, I'm not a registered Republican and I do not vote a straight ticket. But I don't think that saying the conservative mentality is "I've got mine, screw you", is fair. And I don't think that communism or using force to take something which is not yours is compatible with Christianity.
Btw, I'm not saying you're a Bernie supporter, I don't know if you are or not. Just using him as a mainstream example.
