2nd Amendment right to carry openly in public affirmed

The NRA nuts teach that liberals want the abolishment of gun rights. So they get them to believe all we liberal hunters, want this despite where we stand on guns. Just keep the friggen one man arsenal stuff out of the hands of the mentally ill. Is that so hard to compromise towards. They just give more slippery slope BS, like they give for all issues they demand a certain way on.

You don't want compromise. You want those of us that have never, nor would ever, misuse guns to be subjected to laws that won't stop someone who doesn't care what the laws say.

All progressive liberals don't get the vapors over firearms.
I own a few myself.

I offered a proposal early on: Democrats should shut the fuck up over guns if Republicans will shut the fuck up over abortion.

Other than that, I stay out of the gun argument, one way or another.

So let me ask you, if a case as such reaches the Supreme Court and this supposed right to openly carry becomes a decision to allow Alaska's or Florida's gun laws to apply to your State would you still be apathetic on the issue?

Doesn't the Constitution apply to every state?

by the 9th circuit, no less.

A federal appeals court ruled on Tuesday that the U.S. Constitution’s Second Amendment protects a right to openly carry a gun in public for self-defense, rejecting a claim by Hawaii officials that the right only applies to guns kept at home.

The extent of the right to gun ownership protected by the Second Amendment is one of the most hotly contested debates in the United States, where life has been punctuated by a steady stream of mass shootings.

The ruling issued by a three-judge panel on the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, based in San Francisco, came a year after the U.S. Supreme Court declined to rule either way on the carrying of guns in public.

Two of the three 9th Circuit judges voted to reverse a decision by the U.S. District Court in Hawaii that state officials did not infringe on the rights of George Young, the plaintiff, in twice denying him a permit to carry a gun outside.

“We do not take lightly the problem of gun violence,” Judge Diarmuid O’Scannlain wrote in Tuesday’s ruling. “But, for better or for worse, the Second Amendment does protect a right to carry a firearm in public for self-defense.”

It is an inane decision especially since it used the Heller case as a precedent, that one goes in the hall of fame for stupidity

I wonder why people don't exercise that right? I never see people walking around with guns.
There must be strong social pressure not to do it. It makes snowflakes out of the supposedly macho gun nuts.

Doesn't the Constitution apply to every state?

Depends upon its application, to use your own issue, is the right to an abortion as determined by the Supreme Court the same in all fifty States?

And it really is humorous to see a conservative now supporting Federal authority over States rights

But the question wasn't addressed to you, your position on ninety nine percent of any issue is totally predictable

I asked you. I'll understand if you are reluctant to answer.

Who are these "Scadis"?

Are they related to Communist or Socialist-controlled nations somehow?

You are free to remain as ignorant about the world at large as you choose hon. Look the other way.
