Does left write off all those who drank & toked when young?

Obviously not. The left is generally OK with such youthful indiscretions. However, I suspect you're thinking in terms of Kavanaugh. What the left objects to isn't that he had a few beers when he was younger -- nor even that he willfully broke the law to drink while underage, nor that he sometimes drank to such excess as to become ill. It's the evidence that he was a problem drinker, who is alleged to have committed repeated acts of serious sexual misconduct while drunk, as well as other violent acts. It's also that he was dishonest and evasive when asked about these things during the hearings.

And is still, to THIS DAY, an unrepentant, unrehabbed, belligerent, snot-crying aggressive drunk with a chip on his shoulder and a revanchist streak a mile wide.
These are not qualities one would seek in an assistant manager at The Gap, much less the SCOTUS.

Except when Kentucky crackers attempt to pull Jim Crow on presidents, which when you consider his pirouette to "Democrats" after March 2016, is really the only logical conclusion for Garland.

You have a goalpost problem.

"I hate White people" is the Dem motto.

Thanks for proving you're a Racist snob :palm:

I've not seen any "evidence" of anything you've accused him of. Show us.

It was on "tee vee"...get one, they're very cheap.

Not about teenage indiscretions. Not even about drinking, although his level is worrisome. It is about attacking women and his many many lies. it is also about his lack of control. Supreme court judges are supposed to be mature and reasonable people. Brett certainly did not show that trait. He is not qualified for the Supremes. if you have ever seen Supreme court judges interviewed, you would see they are not like him. They are very intellectual and in control. They show great knowledge and sense of history. Brett is way out of the norm for the supreme court. I hope Trump is not allowed to weaken another institution. This is a very dangerous president.

Should all candidates for meaningful national/political positions be removed from consideration in their adult years for alcohol and weed use during high school and college years?

Only if they lie under oath about it, remember you impeached Bill Clinton for lying about a blow job.

Ol' Cumstain was impeached for lying under oath and obstructing justice. The Blue dress was irrefutable hard evidence.

Just the ones running for US Supreme Kangaroo Court who lie under oath about everything that comes up.

Now you're claiming Kav has been a crackhead all his life.

Yep, we're done. :palm:

No, he's an unrehabilitated and unrepentant, belligerent and aggressive DRUNK with blackout problems.

Interesting to hear Right wingers scream and yell that what Kavanaugh did as a kid shouldn't count, even as they impose mass incarceration of teens for minor offenses to long terms in for profit private prisons, then deny them student loans, public housing and job assistance when they finally get out.

Oh well, I guess it's safe to assume they now support a mass amnesty for first time teen offenders, yes?
