You refuse to believe that 1) the NRA donates heavily to simpatico (R)s' war chests, 2) the NRA is a lobbyist for the arms makers, 3) the NRA tries to block *any* sort of gun regulations whether simple or draconian because slippery slope. Therefore we have no gun reform, no enhanced background checks, no way to keep military-grade weapons out of the hands of your mentally-ill idiots.... and we keep dying by the hundreds because of it.
