If we cancel student debt should those who paid for college get their money back??

Trillions?

Yes trillions, you idiot. We have ten million illegals in our schools right now and they cost $20,000 per kid per year so that is $200 billion every year . Yes indeed it's been multi-trillions total since 1982. THINK, america-hater.

These types of questions are class warfare by the wealthy intended to pit the 99% against itself.

Student loan debt should be entirely cancelled and everyone should get higher wages. And if the rich don't like it, they can go fuck themselves because the effective tax rate at the end of a pitchfork or the blade of a guillotine is 100%.

And you claim to have an MBA ffs, what uni taught you that?

What's in your mind is far from what is going on!

You might want to wise-up!

That's the sole motivation. At least be honest and admit it.

Hope you like how the precedent Democrats are setting as what qualifies to impeach someone applies when the situation is reversed. If history is any indication, you won't.

just because you know the senate isn't going to remove Trump just because he kicked your ass in an election doesn't mean you're not TRYING to remove Trump just because he kicked your ass in an election.......

Dude, we are not going to elect people who have such wild expectations as paying off student debt with tax payer's money!

So, let me just advise you, Liz Warren, and Bernie Sanders and all of their cheerleaders of that!

My God you people are off on some tangents!
dude.......YOUR candidates are the people on that tangent......

Can the government break a contract between a student and a private lender?

I don’t believe they can.

When Spartacus Booker dropped out, the lefties quickly looked at him as a potential VP nominee.

It's clear they don't like Booker because he has something to offer in the way of policy or he'd be polling at higher than 6%

The problem is the student can and the government can pass laws protecting the contract breaker.

I don’t believe the government can break a contract between a student and a private lender. The student can’t break the contract unless the lender agrees.

Some of the “lawyers” on this forum should be able to inform us.

“How can a Contract be Breached?

Contract claims are best thought of in a timeline. The entire formation of the contract begins with negotiations and may undergo several modifications before a final agreement is reached. This means that there are several points in time when the contract may be breached. A breach of contract means that one or both parties has failed to perform their duty.

Some common types of breach include: non-performance of duties, impossibility (one party makes the other party’s duties impossible to perform), breach of an implied duty, and anticipatory breach.

A breach may either be total or partial, and each will yield different legal consequences.”

The government can't break the contract but the government can do things that protect those that do.

Look at how long it takes to evict someone that isn't paying their mortgage. The government isn't breaking the contract but rules put in place by the government protect those that did break it by not doing their part.

Those rules already exist in the contract. A contract with the government can be changed by Congress ....SS, Medicare etc.

A private contract is different.

The rules related to things like eviction are put in place by the government. The rules that eviction can occur are part of the contract. The process for how things have to be done are put in place by the government. Do you think the one doing the leasing would go through the steps it takes to go through to evict someone if the laws protecting the tenant weren't in place? That's why I don't have rental property any more. The rules put in place by the State government made it so difficult to deal with those that didn't follow their end of the contract that it wasn't worth it. I sold mine and now buy, flip, and sell.

Yes, we do have a couple of them in the race- Among over a dozen better candidates who are not trying to promise things they cannot deliver.

But, you Trump Loving fools are also on a tangent if you think Bernie or Lizzie even has a snowballs chance in Hell of being nominated.

Here is what you should be concerned with- JUST BEING ABLE TO LOOK YOURSELF IN THE MIRROR FOR SELLING YOUR SOUL TO DONALD TRUMP!

Says the one that still believes Obama was qualified based on skin color.
