I know the claim by heart though so I do know what you mean. I grew up in a Fundie family and my dad was a pastor. We all believed that Catholics are false Christians (sometimes going as far to say they're wolves in sheep clothes). So I get it.

Difference is,....I have no fight with Catholic folks. Many are fine people. I just believe they are being misled...

What's wrong with teaching it from a historical perspective? In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't taught already in world history courses.

Sometimes you are just so dumb. So here is a scenario for you. There is a Catholic person you have never met before,.... you have a conversation with them,.....you ask them...." so, are you a believer?" How are they going to answer that question? Will they say.... YES Im a Christian? NO,...no they wont. Instead they will say.....YES,..Im Catholic.

Most likely they'd say "yes" or "no." If they answered "yes" and the questioner asked "which denomination are you?", then the answer would be Catholic, Protestant or whatever.
