Sure you did. You said you were a Marine. But what you didn't say -that I had to drag out of you- was that as a Marine, you didn't serve in combat, you were never in a foxhole, and you sat in an air-conditioned room on your ass, staring at a screen all day, doing a job that 30,000 people do every day in the US for no accolades or special accommodation.
So let's be real when talking about your military service. Because you aren't being real about it.
I never served because I didn't need to. I got into college. I developed skills in college that landed me in grad school, and I used those skills I learned in grad school to make myself employable once I finished. I bet I worked harder than you did. I certainly put in way more hours in front of a screen than you ever did. Ever had to defend a Master's Thesis? No? Then shut the fuck up about directing traffic.
