Senate prepares for showdown over filibuster

Governors like Whitmer in Michigan or Cuomo in New York are another potential problem for Democrats. They may be down ticket but their screwing up can influence voters negatively towards Democrats.

Abbott, Kemp, and DeSantis will be bigger liabilities for the GOP in 2022 than Cuomo or Whitmer will ever be for the Democrats.

If Beto runs in Texas, Abbott is toast.

We already know Abrams is going to be beat Kemp, and drag all statewide Dems across the finish line with her.

If the Dems field a halfway competent challenger to DeSantis, he will probably lose next year too.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if DeSantis announces he won't run for re-election, choosing to focus instead on the 2024 POTUS race (which he will also lose).

Yes it does.

The Green New Deal has a higher approval rating than anything or any person you can offer.

One clear election loser: The Green New Deal
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/one-clear-election-loser-the-green-new-deal/ar-BB1aMg3m

Two-thirds of voters say they view the recently introduced Green New Deal being advocated by progressive lawmakers as "largely socialist," according to a new Hill-HarrisX poll.
Sixty-seven percent of voters surveyed in the poll released Thursday said they view the proposal introduced last month by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) as "largely socialist," while 33 percent said they would describe it as "largely capitalist."

MANY MORE REGISTERED voters are aware of the Green New Deal, but the political split surrounding the polarizing legislative proposal aimed at curtailing climate change has deepened over the past four months, according to a recent poll.

Outside Democrats and the Left, the New Green Deal is a huge negative for voters.

The Republicans are out of power right now on the national level. 2022 won't be about Trump or Obama.

Oh...LOL...2022 is definitely going to be about Trump.

It will be about Biden, Schumer, and Pelosi. That triad of stooges are going to screw the pooch and they're already trying damn hard to do it too.

You mean it will be about how Biden, Schumer, and Pelosi rescued the country from your COVID lies, got millions of people back to work, and how you didn't want to rescue anything because you think COVID is a hoax.

Run on that strategy. Go for it.

"Vote for me because I didn't want to give you anything" isn't the strong campaign message you think it is.

The Hildabeast is irrelevant here. Her hubby Bill had eight years in office, six of them with a Republican Congress.

So you whined and bitched about how the Republicans gained seats despite Biden's victory, and that was central to your argument right up until the moment you realized that your "very fine people" lost seats in 2016 despite Trump's victory.

So now it's irrelevant.

Not sure why you still think KXL is a good idea even after they said this:
So right there is TransCanada telling you that the price of oil will increase for US consumers if KXL is completed.

It's not what I think about it that counts. It's what the workers who lost their jobs, the communities that lost revenue, etc., think about it that counts in an election. They won't be voting Democrat in 2022. Biden's preaching to the choir with the Left for cancelling it. It won't buy him any more votes, just loose them.

I had nothing to do with Drumpf's win or loss.

Yes you did.

Every post of yours, every lie you told, every act of sophistry you exercised, all of it directly impacted Trump's election performance.

You couldn't control yourself and in doing so, turned many voters off to Trump.

Had you exhibited some form of self-control in early 2020, you probably would have Trump still in the White House today.

But you couldn't restrain yourself.

I'm not the one that resorts to raving, ranting, ad hominem, insults, and incoherent statements like the one I just quoted...

Stop with this...you use ad hominems as a standard matter of practice all over JPP...so these self-righteous red herrings are just that.

And, a second proof of that...

Well, you didn't win the Presidency because you couldn't stop yourself from lying about COVID all year.

Then you couldn't stop yourself from lying about the election.

You are the perfect example of someone with no self-control who can't get out of his own way.

It's normal for the incumbent administration to lose some ground in the mid term election. The Democrats and MSM back in 2018 were predicting a "Huge Blue Wave" of turnover in Congress.

In CNN’s reporting after Election Day, it seemed like Democrats would flip a net of somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 House seats. Now it appears that, with all but one House races called, their take will be 40 – if the remaining race, California’s 21st Congressional District, falls to Democrat T.J. Cox, who just this week pulled ahead of Rep. David Valadao in the vote count.

The equivalent of Pravda for the Democrats tried hard to put a spin on the poor results compared to what they predicted just weeks before. Yet, you think somehow a weak President like Biden doing a shit load of unpopular crap the Left loves is going to somehow do better? Yea, sure...

I implied within the Biden administration.

Well, he's only been President for ~65 days and in that time, he passed the COVID relief bill, got 100M shots in 100M arms by day 58, created more jobs in February (379,000) than Trump did in any single month of his Presidency and more than all jobs created in 2020, passed the Violence Against Women Act, and rejoined the Paris Climate Accords.

So...that's a lot of success for only ~65 days.

From your link:

"While the poll did not gauge support or opposition to the proposal itself, it found that a majority of voters from across the political spectrum view the measure as "largely socialist," including 73 percent of Republicans, 67 percent of Democrats and 65 percent of independents."

So I guess people like socialism because support for the GND is as high as legalizing pot.

According to TransCanada, the KXL will increase the price of Canadian Tar Sands Crude.

When have price increases ever resulted in savings for consumers?

It's normal for the incumbent administration to lose some ground in the mid term election.

Normal? Not really.

Consistent? Not at all.

We only need to look back to 2002 for the last time an incumbent's party gained seats in the first midterm.

You also need something to run on in order to win an election, and I don't know how you're going to win an election by highlighting the fact that you didn't want to do anything to recover from COVID, while the Democrats gave most everyone $1,400.

So...$0 vs. $1,400.

Pretty easy choice to make there.

The Democrats and MSM back in 2018 were predicting a "Huge Blue Wave" of turnover in Congress.

There was a Blue Wave in 2018...the Democrats won over 40 seats in that election.

The equivalent of Pravda for the Democrats tried hard to put a spin on the poor results compared to what they predicted just weeks before. Yet, you think somehow a weak President like Biden doing a shit load of unpopular crap the Left loves is going to somehow do better? Yea, sure...

Wait - so you don't think there was a blue wave in 2018? Then did the Democrats not win 40 seats?
