Would you rather live in a Socialist country or an Authoritarian country?

America is rapidly joining that unsavory club.

They tried, but luckily the insurrection was not successful.

We still have free and open elections, tolerate political differences (barely), and have the peaceful transfer of power. I have seen no actions that successfully corrupted any of our democratic processes.

We will smite all you commie heathens in the name of God! Prepare to die.

I'm a libertarian. What single thing did I say that would make you think I have any commie/socialist leanings? Because I did not agree with everything you said?

Thanks for being nice(r).

Putting your head in the sand is not good for anybody.

I want to live in a Social Democracy like the wealthy European countries do, we'll get there eventually

One thing social democracies need to be concerned about is Government spending creating an unsubstainable debt and candidates promising handouts to buy votes. Money isn't free and if the govt crashes the economy like Bush Jr Administration almost did, it affects everybody negatively.

Like Greece? Italy? Ireland? Not all of them are like Germany....and the grass isn't so green over there either. LOL

The GDP per capita of the US is $65,297.50. Obviously the US economy is the world's largest and with about the same number of people as the Euros.

Hell just froze over!!!!! I just hit the like button for two of Dutches posts in a row! You know whats funny about that though? I have a long consistent track record of agreeing with and even " liking" posts made by those who are generally at war with me provided the post in question is sound and logical. THAT....would be called being honest and reasonable. Now the board D's with FEW exceptions? Naw,....they dont do that. They cant. They just cant allow themselves to agree with a conservative in public on an issue even when they actually DO. How childish and stupid.

I could agree with a conservative, when/if I could find one.

Teabaggers (www.teaparty.org) claiming to be conservative?

Not so much.
