then it should be tax records for husband and spouse, we have a few senators that feed info to their significant others but file seperately
Any finances tied to the candidate. If the spouses filed separately, I wouldn't object even though there can be room for some creativity in the tax returns. Still, it's not enough to matter IMO.
Not a lawyer much less a tax lawyer, but one major problem with election reform is that TPTB don't want tax reform either. The two are intertwined too closely for them.
