Sorry, but guns are not an unalienable human right. They're merely something granted in the Constitution's 2nd amendment, which can be changed at any time.

Exactly; Changed at anytime. Go ahead and set the precedent of denying American's their right of self-defense and watch others use that precedent to deny other rights like voting, free speech, running for office, etc. You and I won't see the final results, but your grandkids will.

No court ever ruled it was unconstitutional to require classes for a concealed weapon permit. There are many stricter regulations than buying insurance which are all constitutional.

I never said it would make our streets safer. That is why I clearly said "..not that I think insurance accomplishes anything."

Let's be honest; you and I are among the two smartest people on this thread. We're intelligent, sane and educated adults. Yet look who won the election in 2016. Look at how close the election was in 2020.

Go ahead and charge a gun owners fee. I can afford it but what I want in return is to stop all the fucking morons and poorly educated dipshits who can't find their ass with both hands but can vote.

Shouldn't voters at least be able to able to pass a citizenship exam? Pay a fee for the liability of electing dumbasses? A small user fee to pay for the election workers and security guards. Same logic, right?

In other words, Republicans had a net loss of 39 seats in Congress in 2018.

Voters did not listen to the media in 2020 because they had four years to judge his character and performance and chose to vote him out by 7 million.

My point was simply that the president's party almost always loses seats in midterms--trying to blame that on the media or voters being stupid ignores reality.
