If the Empire admits is has been defeated by a tiny country it has been dealing with hard core for more than 50 years, that it has long abused, a country that threw America out.....well then it is over.

Besset says siezed Iranian funds will be used to repair damaged GCC facilities. Of course since its positive news I fully expect Trump to walk it back as he continues to grovel to his Iranian masters

Making a deal with Iran would require Trump to formally accept the defeat of his regime change war and return at least some of Iran's stolen ("frozen") assets. He hasn't been willing to do that, so has spent weeks stalling for time. That gave Israel an opening to act as a spoiler, which it seized by escalating its aggression against Lebanon. Perhaps Israel and the US thought that Iran was desperate enough for a deal to stand down. By striking Israel today, Iran has shown that it will not abandon Hezbollah and south Lebanon. Now the onus is back on Trump: is he willing to respect Iran and Lebanon as sovereign nations and have peace, or is the cause of Greater Israel worth continuing the war.

What we know for fact is the $13 billion USS Ford is at its home port for at least a year of repairs after being hit with an Iran missile.

More like two.....which given the shipyard situation is probably three.....between the damage and the tearing out of the cats and the radar because they dont work well.

I am pretty sure the NAVY has given up on EM cats after the Ford debacle.
 
The USS Connecticut, a sub which hit an underwater mountain through navigation incompetence, is supposed to be almost repaired.....was supposed to take three years......took 4.5....if it passes trials.

The shipyards are a disaster, and would take at least 15 years to fix, if we were to try.

No....the NAVY is something like 6 years in trying to get the EM cats to work but because they were poorly designed they have not been able to do so.

There are two fatal failure points:

1) They over stress the fragile piece of shit F-35.

2) They keep going out of service, and when they do all the cats must be depowered to do a fix, making the carrier useless and a sitting duck.

#2 is because the designers were massively over confident apes.
 
Re the F-35:

1) They are not stealthy....all that money and time put into stealth has been defeated by tech.

2) They are super expensive to use, because they require a ton of man hours to keep mission ready, and because of the idiotic way the contracts were written, they are a massive wealth extraction point of the MIC (Military Industrial Complex).
