Everyone understands that Socialism is not Communism, right?

Any reasonable society would put restrictions on this making the parents responsible for the welfare of their children.
So controlled Capitalism? Socialism function under Capitalism.

The economic system in America isn't perfect, but it has done us well for ages

See, communism is a form of Government, not just an economic system, and that is what The Sleepy PP cant understand. Or he does, but thinks you are stupid enough to fall for it.

@T. A. Gardner
This too is wrong. Communism is an economic system very similar to Socialism. However, because Communism is absolute, it requires a specific kind of government--dictatorship--in order to function. Socialism only requires a large, intrusive, government but not a dictatorship to work.

Unfettered Capitalism is essentially a barter economy. That doesn't work anymore than a totally Socialist / Communist economy does.

Citation? You are badly confused.

There are Communist countries, but there are not Capitalist countries. Capitalism is not a form of government.

Correct. Neither Communism nor Capitalism are a form of government. Communism requires a dictatorship to work, so one goes with the other. Capitalism requires a free society to work so that means, realistically, some sort of democracy to work.

Socialism is not a form of government either. You see, it is not the same as Communism, no matter what the PP tries to program into your head.

I didn't. They are the same thing, only varying by degree. Don't go making shit up.
Different terms typically have different meanings. They do here. Social Security is a socialist program, not a Communist program. For what's is worth here is part of AI on the difference between socialism and communism:

'Communism and socialism are related left-wing economic philosophies, but communism is a more radical system that entirely eliminates private property, money, and social classes. While both ideologies emerged as a rejection of capitalist exploitation during the Industrial Revolution, they differ significantly in their scope, methods of implementation, and compensation structures. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]"

I'm not saying Socialism is a form of government. But it requires a big, intrusive, overbearing government of some sort to work. It is the same as Communism, just differing by degree.

Social Security is a retirement / pension fund. Both Socialist and Communist systems have something similar embedded into them. At the more extreme, it is the only pension system the government allows. In most Socialist systems you can have a private retirement fund of some sort, even if just banked money, but that doesn't change the nature of the government run system.

You quote from AI isn't worth a thimble of piss.

Poor fool.

As does this magat form of Capitalism/Kleptocracy we have seen growing since Trump 1 government.

Without a massive obtrusive gov't the oligarchs and Trump could not take over and use the power of agencies to grow their power, set policy, and take ever more tax payer money into their own coffers.

Study up!

Socialism is an economic system, not a form of government. It describes who owns and controls the means of production (collectively or by the state, rather than privately), while “form of government” describes how political power is organized — democracy, monarchy, dictatorship, and so on. - Claud AI

You have no idea how stupid you sound to an educated person.

Social security is a government enforced retirement system, managed and operated by the federal government. Absolutely not Capitalism, absolutely is Socialism.
