Frank Apisa who has watched me get thrown out of two places :

"Take a look at JPP....I think you might like it"

Okay, you've added more context that you didn't before. Seems the problem is the government can't compete with the private sector for needed workers.
That may be true, but trump needlessly made it even worse.
On the other hand, if outsourcing and telemedicine works, then the VA is largely redundant.
Veterans, at least those with health problems related to their time in the military, should have their own healthcare system geared towards them and their issues. It should not be a matter of money in a country that has enough revenue to hand out corporate welfare to CEO's.

Allow me to compliment you on this comment, TA. The comment was an exemplary way of politely saying, "Fuck the veterans. They have served their purpose, now they should have the decency to die so we can save money for the rich."
I'm a veteran. I know far more veterans than you do. The VA is seen by them through the lens of the local facilities. Either they like the VA because the local facilities are well managed or they hate the VA because the local facilities are mismanaged and incompetent. There's no in-between.

Veterans who are retired (like me) have Tri-care and don't use the VA (I'm in category 8, 'last served' because I have other healthcare coverage).

Far from your asinine claim, coverage for disabled veterans cuts two ways. There are those that scam the system to get healthcare coverage, and there are those that truly need it. And, yes, the VA does get scammed. The VA hospital system was created out of WW 2 when no real alternatives for disabled veterans existed. Today there are better and cheaper systems.

It'd be cheaper to put disabled veterans on a form of Tri-care and allow them to use the civilian / community healthcare system rather than be forced into using the VA system. They'd get better and more timely care than the VA provides now. What keeps that from happening is bureaucratic inertia and little else.

It would be better to put them on Tri-care (what retired military get) and let them use the civilian healthcare system rather than a limited government one that often has to refer them to the civilian healthcare system. It is duplication of effort.

I just enjoy it when a fat-ass, zero-level, pot scrubbing galley slob wimp like yourself gets all huffy about me getting political with the VA. Sure things weren't perfect during previous administrations, but none of those Presidents cut the VA staffing to the levels the Orange Turd did.

Apparently, being the fat, lazy, barely literate slob you are, you did not bother to actually read the entire piece.

Since you're too useless to have found it yourself, here's the most important part...

So yeah, though the VA and its facilities may have had their issues, your fat MAGA traitor POS made them much worse.

Now go fuck yourself if you don't like me talking about it, Jethro.
Once again wimpy. Stop acting like you or any democrat gives a fuck about the military. You douchebags are even ashamed of your own flag and country. And this is nothing new.

Well certainly no system is perfect and all will have their plusses and minuses.

But the VA can specialize in things the private system can't.

PTSD, like Agent Orange, and Gulf War Syndrome have become cottage industries to get healthcare regardless of need.

Those are the ones that got caught.

I understand it perfectly. What you fail to grasp is that there is an optimal number of healthcare providers for a given patient population. If that population decreases and you have more providers than necessary, you get rid of the excess to keep things optimized. Let the excess go elsewhere where they are needed rather than keep them on a bloated budget.
and monopolies replace free markets.

:yay:

And when there are not enough doctors and hospitals, you add them. They have been understaffed forever. Vets I know like the treatment they get at VA hospitals. It just takes a while to get seen.

That isn't as easy as saying it. First, you have to offer a wage that doctors will accept. Government run healthcare usually offers a lower than market wage so it attracts only the losers and those that are otherwise forced to work for the government like people that accepted a government scholarship in exchange for like 4 to 8 years of service.

Vet's view of the VA varies with the quality of care and timeliness they receive. It can be good or it can be terrible. Socialized medicine, like Socialism in general is like that.

right.

business people hate having monopolies and never achieve government capture.

quit acting like everyone else is stupid, fascist.
Awww... All butthurt over me pointing out your stupid (and yes, I used the correct 'your' rather than 'you're' making it possessive rather than an adverb).
