I think The Matrix was one of the most entertaining films ever made. The Reloaded sequel was good too. Deep existential questions can be made entertaining too. The Red Pill Blue Pill scene is one of the most iconic in film history, and people can enjoy it without feeling they have to sit in a philosophy class

I've no interest in contemplating the nature of life because the nature of life appears so obvious to me.
Everything else in nature is cause and effect. Until someone can explain to me how free will would work in a cause
and effect universe, I've no reason to give it much thought. I'm more attracted to that to which I react with amusement.

That's why we think those movies are more interesting than McHale's Navy.
