the sourcing was questionable "exposure".
the CIA types got upset -being anal about classifications ( my characterization),but the intent was to show Russians
( whom we do still cooperate on terrorism -believe it or not) that the info was valid - about ISIS trying to down airplanes by smuggling bombs onboard, concealed in laptop computers-

Smarter people than me, including plenty of republicans, think what he did was a big mistake. I defer to their judgment.

This sums it up for me: " Foreign reaction was overwhelmingly negative. A top European intelligence official stated that sharing of intelligence with the United States would cease if the country confirms that Trump did indeed share classified information with Russia, because sharing intel with Americans while Trump is president could put their sources at risk."

It was DEFINITELY boasting. Trump wasn't thinking; he usually doesn't. This is his m.o. - it's more about ego than common sense.

He always shoots his mouth off w/out knowing anything. Same thing the past few days w/ the FBI and how the investigation caused them to miss the warning signs of the school shooting. He has absolutely no proof of that whatsoever, but that doesn't stop him from spewing his nonsense.

Trump didn't have any inside info about "bad guy" Obama wiretapping him. You guys could really give a clinic at this point on excuse-making for his constant lying.

I don’t know how you can say that.

They used an unverified Dossier to trick the FISA court *so they could surveil* people in Trump’s campaign. That may not be literally wiretapping but it’s awfully fricking close to it.
