A little education for our Maga/Alt-Right friends.

No, unions did not.

they did. objecting to it is clearly moronic.
A proof of that today is even when a union is present with a company, in Right to Work states most workers choose not to join. Union memberships is on the decline outside of public service and government.

their function today does not prove their value in the previous times.

corporations created a fairly good climate for a number of years to convince people that "unions are not necessary".

you're a fascist anti-human Nazi tool.

now here you are backing the AI corporate promise to lay off maximum humans, so face fuck you.

we need a new minimum wage and autarky and the courage to tell globalist to fuck straight off.

No, they didn't, and you can't find any objective sources that say differently.
their function today does not prove their value in the previous times.

During WW 2, The United Mine Workers and their union leader, John L. Lewis, was considered by a majority of Americans to be traitors and agents of fascism for repeatedly going on strike demanding higher wages during wartime. In the end, FDR seized the mines and put them under martial law with the US Army guarding them. Miners were told to go to work or go to prison.

There were strikes in other industries too. In fact, it is estimated that 36.3 million man-days of labor were lost due to union strikes during the war.

Because they figured out, much like Henry Ford did, that if you pay your employees reasonably, they have no incentive to unionize. The other thing that drives people out of unions is that the union does little or nothing for workers except fight management and demand higher wages.

you need a source they didn't, counter factual fascist.

some people were considered something at the time?

fuck you and your lies.

hey Nazi fluffer, are meat-packing standards communism?

tldr.

of course unions created the middle class.

explain in a simple sentence how they didn't.

of course now unions only exist in government. those are bad coddling unions.

everything can go too far.

the thing with you is clearly believe in corporate welfare, making you a textbook fascist.

There is a very weak cause and effect here. Unions did little to create a middle class compared to imposed societal norms. If anything, increasing Socialism and Socialist-like programs by government erode the middle class. This can be seen even more apparently in Europe where unions are far stronger than in the US.

For example, the UAW had a stranglehold on US car manufacturing. When the Japanese (Toyota, Nissan, et al) started building plants in the US they did so in Right to Work states and changed the rules on how unions would operate in their plants were those existed. It gave them a huge advantage while it did nothing to hurt workers who were still getting competitive wages and benefits.

The US manufacturers had to abandon Detroit and Michigan factories and go elsewhere to renegotiate with the UAW--where they stayed in the US--to end the union's often rapacious demands for higher wages that drove overall production and profit down.

this was the eighties. the middle class was already successfully created by then.

the real impact was many years prior.

you're a belligerent fascist moron.

wake up, propaganda fool.

1. Thanks for proving my point.
You didn't have any point to prove.

2. Typical maga tactic ... dismiss by label so you don't have to discuss content.
I watched the video. Its content was stupid; it swapped Cause and Effect. You obviously did not pick up on this, and now you are insisting that your cognitive shortcomings are somehow my fault.

Why do you blame people who want to Make America Great Again for your fuqk-ups?

By the way, I don't see you rushing to discuss the errors of your video, but instead I see you EVADING all discussion of your video ... almost as though you already know that your video is entirely bogus, i.e. you are employing the standard tactic of the left.

3. A lot of opinion without discussing specifics.
I was very specific; you simply don't understand Cause and Effect. Shall I presume that your lack of education is once again somehow my fault?

You have proved nothing. Other than the video in the OP you have linked to two PBS / NPR pieces--essentially a single source--that hand slathering praise to and a one-sided non-objective view of this subject. The PBS piece is just an interview with Hanna-Jones and nothing more. You are the one that's myopic here.
As the chronology of the post shows, you ignore all else in hope that your "got'cha" discredits the entire video. Yet valid documentation of red lining, the GI Bill bias and theie generational effects validate the video 10 fold ... and you don't like it. TFB, what jokers like you derive from denying hidtorical fact of America"s congenital racism is a sight to behold.

You're a liar, because dropping a phrase and NOT EXPLAINING how you think it relates to Specific points in material provided is just blowing smoke. Come back when you can.

he knows it.

these neoconi want to implement a global system of AI powered techno-feudalism, so they lie and revise the past.

thats the phrase for the day.

You are a racist, that's just a fact.

I didn't watch your video - I don't do Fascistbook. But you made clear that people wanting to live in neighborhoods with low crime and decent neighbors is "RAYSIS."

To which I reply politely - shove it up your ass.

I had a black family as nextdoor neighbors for years. Nice family, good people. Got to be chummy with the dad, who was very blunt that he moved his family to the OC to escape from "the niggers" - as he put it. He especially didn't want his children around them. He wanted to live in a place he didn't need to worry about his house and cars constantly being broken into. Didn't want his kids recruited to gangs or his daughters raped.

You whine that the whites - and really all decent people - fled the cities, because you lost your victims.

His dopey ass doesn't realize that the lifestyle he's accustomed to is courtesy of unions and the Labor Mivement.

The unions you Communists destroyed by importing 40 million illegal aliens to take their jobs?
