A woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle.

a woman with red hair is being held by a group of men in a hospital .

Fun fact......The latest studies concerning female mental health show that almost 50% of American women are under a Doctors care for mental health issues to one degree or another. Sadly this means the other half are going untreated and not receiving the care they so desperately need.

Wait, wasn't Obamacare supposed to fix that?

The ACA created regulated marketplaces, an individual mandate (later reduced to $0), an employer mandate for larger firms, guaranteed-issue rules (no denial for pre-existing conditions), bans on lifetime/annual dollar limits for covered benefits, and a requirement that most individual and small-group plans cover a defined package of 10 essential health benefits:

  • Maternity and newborn care
  • Mental health and substance-use services

Women want the same things guys do -- to love and be loved, to have a family (but not necessarily human children), to have meaningful purpose in life, financial security. Some people can get these things in alternative ways that don't involve marriage or romance. What's important and what Steinem and other women helped achieve is choice. Because of them, women have more choices now. Whether that's a career, motherhood, marriage, being single, being able to marry a same-sex partner, get credit and buy a home w/o a male cosigner, run for high political office, serve in the military, etc. -- all things difficult or impossible for women when I was born.
would you object to a bachelor tax?

if not, all your goody two shoes bullshit is hollow.

No, they don't. For men, what you do--workwise--comes first in terms of who you are. For men, that is the major purpose in life. Family, a wife, and all that are options that make sense and life better, but your profession or vocation is what matters.

Also, one should note, that women will try very hard to marry "up." That is they want a guy that has it better, is better off, than the family they grew up in. Working, for women--most women--is less important than family and having a stable provider. One of the tragedies of Socialism is that the government becomes the stable provider meaning women are not incentivized to find a husband. At the same time, for women, working outside the home isn't the central focus of their life so they aren't suddenly released or incentivized to do that either.

While this is generalizing, a man will define himself by his profession or vocation. What he knows and what he does defines him. For women, they will define themselves by who they are married to, their children and family, and their wealth accumulation.

Same-sex relationships do the same thing in a different way. The screw up how nature designed things.

As for things like getting a loan, credit, etc., part of the problem women face, even today, is simply not having the personal income (not government assistance), stable job, and other economic indicators that are central to men but not women. That may sound unfair, but the lender is rating the loan or credit based on the person's economic stability, productivity, and track record.

Yes, in the past, women were often denied loans and credit simply on the basis of being female and that's wrong. But it doesn't change that for women they often simply are not in a position with their work and financial history to get those things easily.

In simplest terms, men use things they get from working to get sex. Women use sex to get things from men who worked to accumulate them.

A siompleton response and totally in keeping with RW "God make man strong and smart and good, woman weak and dumb and 2nd class." Thanks.

Gloria Steinem has now made the world a better place for women...
How so? Any and all feminazis (including steinem), who are all leftists have focused their attention
onto their sex, their political leftism, and on their assumption that wimmin aren't getting a fair deal
in what they consider to be a male dominated society. Wimmin have the right to vote, and to even
run for the presidency. So what exactly has steinem done to make the world a better place for wimmin? We even had two democrat wimmin run for the presidency, but sadly for you feminazis...they both lost.

When does the future start while the past ends here while current events never duplicate what existed so far in ever changing results left alive tomorrow?

Inception to conception of current 5 generation gaps living as current global population.

Born to buried as each of the over 8.2 billion ancestors alive this rotation of the planet.

Every reality has two physical absolutes, death and taxes cradle to grave for each soul protecting humanity's 7 better intellectually created days from now.

Dead to decomposed.

Time great great grandchildren aren't born anymore.

the 5 pillars of evolving in plain sight since conception. Genetic fate and manifested destiny performed in every New World Order humanity created between history and current events.

I absolutely understand, and maybe I interpret it wrong, but I think Steinum was saying that plenty of women want a man, but no woman needs a man.
Taken literally is that the female equivalent of say a rapper saying “fvck that, I don’t need a b*tch” (but without the vulgarity)?

Meaning it’s the same kind of braggadocio if you will

Look at the absolute hate and virtual coming from the Trumper’s because a woman simply said women and men should have equal rights.
That's kind of like saying how can anyone be against Libertarianism as they simply want people to be free.

Steinem represented a much broader social movement and set of ideas than simply women should have equal rights. People can support equal rights without agreeing with all that Steinem stood for.

And we would very likely not be having this conversation about her if all she did was simply say men and women should have equal rights.

Do you grasp what a double entendre is, or do I have to spell this out for you?
