interesting in light of the fact that at the time Roe v Wade was decided 87% of Americans did not want abortion to be legal........obviously abortion has NEVER been about democracy......

Limited to unreasonable search and seizures. It’s a small right but I’ll give you that… We also have the right to not have soldiers quartered in our homes during peacetime.

PIMP, read my post. They could easily said the right of the unborn supersedes the right to privacy, and taken away the right to Abortion, they went further and took away an entire branch, the largest, of individual rights.

I’m sure there are some, I support any individual right that does not significantly and adversely affect important rights of others, it’s a balancing act. Where does my right end because the harm it causes is significant enough to prohibit it.

No l, in fact they seem to agree perfectly, they were just okay with taking the broad group of individual rights, Thomas even discusses it in his portion… He says now we should do away with an entire host of rights…. He only failed to mention interracial marriage for some reason!

No he is talking about getting rid of bad case law, no state is poised to outlaw birth control.

And the founders absolutely foresaw the advancement of firearms technology they already had repeating rifles they were just cost prohibitive at the time.

There is more case law regarding privacy than Roe, this recent decision specifically and narrowly applies to Roe

Not today, and maybe not specifically contraception, but other rights you might not have even considered. All kinds of rights we take for granted could be affected.

Simply untrue, this case broadly invalidates anything based on the right to privacy, read it, Thomas particularly and proudly points that out.
