trump will often repeat back to him what the last person said to him. That is sometimes a very junior person, or a foreign leader. It is bizarre to watch.

This REALLY caught me by surprise.

is stating obvious fact, so the substance of his statement is clearly correct. But diametrically disagreeing with
@POTUS
on the public stage is WAY out of character. This makes me wonder if another round of Trump admin senior staff defections is coming a la Tulsi, Joe Beck, etc. Sec. Wright is way too politically astute to have said this without cognizance that it would upset the President. So the signal I take away is that something changed to cause him to stop caring if he offends the Pres. That's huge.
