Interesting Question: Can You Be A Strong Conservative And Support Gay Marriage?

Oh - you've decided to plug up your ears.

That's fine. Just know that there isn't a fertility test for marriage, and that many heterosexual couples who marry cannot procreate.

No, it is you who fear to remove your liberal blinders and acknowledge the truth that marriage was created to ensure paternal lineage. The only fertility test for marriage was that it be male and female.

How do heterosexual couples who cannot procreate ensure paternal lineage?

I understand all of them. It seems like you don't understand the word "fertility." If there is a "fertility test" (and that's a completely fabricated idea), then many heterosexual couples do not pass it. Even though their marriage is a man & woman, they are NOT able to procreate, for one reason or another.

Fertility test is your strawman. The ability to procreate was not about a fertility test, but man and a woman.

I understand that this is inconvenient for the argument you're trying to make, but it is what it is.

It's not an argument, it is a straw man.

That's why there is no "fertility test" for marriages, and if there was, we would be restricting many heterosexuals from getting married.

Strawman.

According to the Constitution and what is WRITTEN in it, the federal government has no authority for the marriage business. That certain elements believe they do is because those elements have twisted themselves into a pretzel by claiming the Constitution says something it doesn't say.

The feds have to ensure state laws don't violate rights. Rather than waste court time it's in the govs interest to settle it with a law.

Oh - you've decided to plug up your ears.

Says the guy bloviating with strawmen. Ironic don't you think?

That's fine. Just know that there isn't a fertility test for marriage, and that many heterosexual couples who marry cannot procreate.

Male and female are the requirement. It's not female and female, or male and make. Children need BOTH to grow up healthy and normal. That's a simple undeniable FACT and one you and others like you CHOISE to ignore because it doesn't fit your myopic narrow agenda.

Many can't procreate? That's a lie. But then, your arguments are based on a lie, one mist lie.

Yes - many heterosexuals who marry cannot procreate. You keep ignoring that. Many are handicapped or have other health issues; many do not have the ability to have children; there are many marriages among the elderly and those who are past childbearing age.

Your entire argument would restrict these people from marriage.

anyone who "supports" gay marriage is delusional because "gay"/ homosexual "marriage" is an oxymoron and does not exist. the governmental agencies which recognize such a ridiculous impossibility are unlawful. I do not care; I just know it is ridiculous. no marriage is complete without sex and two parts of the same are not created/ designed to be bonded. there is no consummation in same sex "marriage". https://www.google.com/search?q=sex+nuts&ie=&oe=. same sex marriage is impossible by design/ creation.

BigDog was the one arguing that there is a "fertility test" for marriage. Not me.

I agree it is a strawman.

No he did not. He's been clear it is a man and a woman. The fertility test is your strawman. Stop lying, it's not helping you're weak ineffectual argument.
