This looks like a great summer dish for a picnic or potluck alike. It might need refrigeration after a while, but it would never last long enough to worry.

Believe it or not, this portly carnivore loves his brussel sprouts.

This sounds good. I have several different flavored balsamics. I wonder if they'd work or if they'd come off sweet.

I don't like green beans, but Mom does. The neighbors gave me some, and I need a way to cook them. Does this look good, or does anyone have a better way? @ThatOwlWoman @christiefan915 @Phantasmal

Those are great.

I was watching Chopped, and they had an African episode. One of the basket ingredients was already prepared: Jollof Rice. It looked good just as it was, so I thought I'd find a recipe for it. @ThatOwlWoman, you can leave out the habanero.

That looks good and I'll try them. I usually parboil for 90 seconds, season with olive oil, garlic powder, salt and pepper and put in the air fryer.

I love them too, and will try this recipe.

I think I was delving into the mind of a kid too much with that one.

My kids would have cried. lol

This is so funny -- when I was a pre-teen, I was an ultra-picky, super taster, finicky-ass eater. Did not like sauces (even catsup), gravies, salad dressings, or things touching other things esp. in the same dish. My g-daughter who just visited is *still* that way, and so is one of her brothers, my almost-19-yo g-son. Weird!

I never liked sauces and gravies as a kid, and still don't. It makes me gag to see someone put a piece of bread in gravy and then eat it.

I'm making them for Mom tonight to go with steak. I opted for a different cheese than Parm. I got a nice block of Romano to shred myself. The pre-shredded stuff normally has powders added to prevent caking, but they also lessen the melting capability.

I always buy a block of Romano and swap it in for Parm. Agree about the pre-shredded stuff although I buy mozzarella and extra sharp cheddar that way. Btw, I just returned something to Amazon at our Kohl's store, and they always give a coupon for a percentage off anything if you buy it that day. So I went to the candles and found some Yankee Spiced Pumpkin melts and bought a couple, can't wait to try them. My favorite autumn scent.

I like pumpkin scents too. I like it enough that I even have beard products in it. It's called Highway Hunter, and the profile is roasted pumpkin, vanilla bean, and marshmallow.
