Man Shot by Police in Kenosha Was Wanted for Sexual Assault "Fleeing felon rule"

He also pulled a gun at a local bar in 2015. And was charged with felony resisting arrest carrying a concealed weapon, carrying a firearm while intoxicated, endangering safety-use of a dangerous weapon.

And a open warrant for rape...Other than that he was a saint
and the guy was just walking away to get into a car.
Which I find amazing enough -willful ( but non-violent) disregard of a lawful order
now means the cops are supposed to let you flee.. FUBAR.. he was a threat to the public and has a record to prove it

The POS had a warrant for sexual assault RAPE and obviously wasn't going quietly.

Do they let him reach into the car to grab a gun or let him get behind the wheel of a 4,000 lb weapon and speed away with kids in the car?

If you piss or shit on somebody in Wisconsin, it‘s 3rd degree sexual assault, idiot. :rofl2:

I see you're too thick-headed to understand that the possibilities I pointed out were REAL, not like your childish bullshit.

And speaking of fantasies.... no, you could not not determine whether or not he slumped by the position of his leg underneath the door in a blurry video :palm:

Scream and stomp your little feet all you want, but you were fantasizing for the previously mentioned reasons. Mainly that Blake never did anything you suggested. He barely got one foot in the car before he was shot three times and then had four more shots pumped into his body as he slumped into the car per the video.
Let's all keep in mind here that he had his kids inside the car.

What if the cops had let him get in the car and he managed to speed away, then started driving 100 mph up the highway eventually wrapping the car around a telephone pole, killing not only himself, but his kids and maybe someone else.

The cops always have to take all theses possibilities into account and make split second decisions, while the useless, good-for-nothing asshole protesters and online second guessers, sit in the safe and sound hiding behind their computers and their First Amendment protections, talking a bunch of ignorant shit.

I hope the cops in both this case and the case of Salaythis Melvin get 100% exonerated and reinstated to full pay and duty.

I'm sick of all this thug worshipping by scum who aren't worthy to clean a cop's ass with their tongue.

i want to see why he was taxed before i completely make up my mind
was that a reasonable use of force? If so the suspect/wanted person was fleeing a lawful order/arrest attempt

So you think the use of deadly force was required exactly at that point and no later, correct?

Up to that point the felon under arrest had not tried to flee the scene. By entering the vehicle, he could be assumed to be trying to make an escape. Shooting a known violent felon, fleeing arrest, when you had him in custody it a valid use of force. Had he been simply fleeing over a domestic violence charge that could possibly be a misdemeanor then no, you don't use deadly force.

Why to you think the second cop didn't have his gun out until the shooting started? In fact, he seemed a little confused since he actually moved around and behind the first officer. A rookie move if he put the first officer between himself and suspect. Better to have moved left and had covered the left front corner with the first officer to his right and the suspect to his front.

I'm not psychic. I don't know what was in his mind and cannot say why that happened.

So a guy walking toward a Walmart with an AR15 and a belt loaded with bullets ...and is refusing police commands to stop...should not be shot?

Keep in mind he hasn't pulled the trigger yet on his AR15...but ""COULD"" once in Walmart..it would pure conjecture that he is going to open fire in Walmart

What other bullshit are you going to make up, douchenozzle?

...

The problem anatta, is the police knew this guy had a warrant out for his arrest on a rape charge, had priors for violence including attacking a police officer. That made him a violent felon with serious priors that indicated he should not be let go. He tried to flee and got shot for it. That is the idiot's fault and nobody else's.

Courts will decide for the reasons I've posted a half dozen times over two threads.

Stop projecting your childishness on to me, little man.

The police are not trained, nor are they supposed to "wait and see what he does".

They are trained to recognize potential threats and neutralize them.

It seems like even a thick head like you could grasp how dangerous it would be to let him get in the car and possibly his hands on a gun before stopping him.

But then I guess you aren't just an average thick head.

The police have to consider the possibilities and likelihoods in situations like this one, where a wanted criminal is fleeing arrest, and act upon them the best they can in terms what is safest for themselves and the public.

If you cannot get that through your skull, you are beyond help.

Had he sped away, gotten into a wreck and killed himself along with the children inside the car and God knows who else, they would have failed in their duty to protect the public and loud-mouths assbags like you and the shitbag protesters would have been screaming to hold them accountable for letting a criminal get away.

Why don't you do us both a favor.... just STFU and don't respond to me anymore.

I'm sick of trying to reason with idiots.

More likely a prosecutor and a grand jury along with an internal investigation by the police will. If they determine the shooting was justified, it will never get to court.

S'all good, man. My guess is the shooting police officer is going to need a good lawyer.

"Could" is not probable cause or imminent danger. But it is good reason to stop and question him. I know a similar case in which a guy owned a tactical shop inside a mall and entered with an AR15. I think he was charged with disturbing the peace because although it was legal the public had good reason to feel threatened because of recent mass shootings. Refusing to stop obviously complicates the situation.

Thanks .. He was unarmed. When did they interview him to find that out that he was a "felon?" .. and had they interviewed him in the house, wouldn't they have immediately put him in cuffs?

Have you seen any reporting that this man was a convicted felon other than rightwing news?

No, I did not say he was a felon. That is why I posted the case that limits the fleeing felon rule. Why would they have put him in cuffs?

When someone has warrants out for their arrest, it’s a totally new ball game.

It’s a Criminal - and one with great motivation to escape. Many Cops are killed by those wanting to escape Capture and their date with Justice.

All true but there are still rules to deadly force. It's not open season just because the suspect is black and trying to get into his car.
